Do people who really care about the environment realize that scams like (Gore's) carbon offsets only discredit their cause, cost money, and deliver nothing?

In Gore's case, carbon offsets  they make money and deliver profits to him through Generation Investment Management, whose chairman is . . . Al Gore.
