Dr. John Brignell, a British engineering professor, runs a website called numberwatch. He has compiled what has to be the most complete collection of links to media stories ascribing the cause of everything under the sun to global warming. He has already posted more than six-hundred links.
The site's stated mission is to expose all the "scares, scams, junk, panics and flummery cooked up by the media, politicians, bureaucrats and so-called scientists and others that try to confuse the public with wrong numbers" Professor Brignell's motto is "Working to Combat Math Hysteria."
This exercise is not merely a lark to show the abject absurdity of this global warming nonsense. Brignell wrote a great book titled Sorry Wrong Number, The Abuse of Measurement on this very subject.

“Everything is Caused by Global Warming”
That’s now a running joke in my family. The other day my Dad mentioned that his back was particularly hurting that day. My response, “Global Warming.”
Or “Bush’s fault.”
Sometimes you can combine them.
At the bottom of the American Thinker’s site, there is a link to a petition to stop global warming and save the polar bear. Is that a joke?
Seeing how the polar bear population made a rebound, and years ago we were told they would surly be extinct by now this all does seem a little funny. Remember acid rain? I actually do remember being told that by the year 2000 most our East coast forests would all be dead! So how are the baby seals doing? What about the Alyeska pipeline which will destroy the caribou population according to all the expert testimony? Environmentalism is a business and political issue that has some merit but is 90% BS and abused by dorks like Gore. Do people who really care about the environment realize that scams like his carbon offsets only discredit their cause, cost money, and deliver nothing?
In Gore's case, carbon offsets they make money and deliver profits to him through Generation Investment Management, whose chairman is . . . Al Gore.
