I’ve had fox on since early afternoon and haven’t heard mention. Even Drudge hasn’t announced it and I only learned from CNN of all places. IMHO foxnews is forever interrupting with trivial breaking news yet this honorable man’s passing isn’t worthy of the same treatment?

Jesus bless Henry Hyde. He was a good man who was a great friend of the babies.

He became my hero during the impeachment of Clinton. I even wrote him a letter telling him so. Mine as well. I can't tell you how many times I attempted to call/write but his mailbox was always full as he fan club, no doubt, grew.

He was a good and decent man He was an adulterer who was a RINO on guns. RIP, but Hyde was your typical mess of an Illinois politician.

RIP, Congressman.
When I saw this news the first thing that came to mind was that ass Alec Baldwin, on the Conan OBrien, calling for people to stone Henry Hyde to death over impeachment. Video here (RealPlayer)

There is a time for historical reflection on the total career, both good and bad, of someone who has passed away. In virtually every case, the day of his death is not that time.
To: MinuteGal
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Godspeed, Henry Hyde.

Okay. I said I'd move on only to return whenever I'm pinged by way of a response. I'd be happy if this were my final note on the matter. If anybody responds, I'll be back.

He was a great man, a true hero. Rest in peace and blessings to his family.
To: Brytani
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord
And let Thy Perpetual Light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
To: Brytani
May Henry Hyde hear Christ say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into your rest.” I know his pro-life legacy will live on in my heart forever. I greatly admire the man and his work.

So sad to see this. What a good man in so many ways.
Rest in Peace.

I still have my Hyde's Heroes chocolate coin.
Thanks for sharing it with me.

Life is hard, at least for anyone worth anything.
I don’t think he had it easy at all, and did the best he could as he saw fit.
That is fine with me.
And, yes, I believe in respect for the dead... without exceptions.
