btw, that video was not newly made for this debate. I saw that same question on youtube after one of the first debates. Not saying that it wasn’t a genuine question but the person who asked it had filmed it several months ago.

I don’t think it’s so much that they got more time, it’s just that Rudy and Romney kept getting into arguments with over everything.

They may have done a lot of talking but they didn’t say anything much in substance.

Personally I like a guy who is succinct.

Yes, actually if you look about 5 minutes into his video online debate 1.1 you will see where he originally filmed the clip that he sent in as his debate question.

I didn’t watch it, is he a good guy? I’m only about 30 minutes from Boulevard and get up there occasionally.

Duncan Hunter continues to show he is the best candidate by far. A natural leader.

I could say the same thing about Hunter except Hunter has never gotten the coverage Fred has gotten. Fred has squandered what he had on his own though that was the best he has been in the debates. Like my tagline says, he is no Duncan Hunter.

Yeah, it’s funny how Fred is suddenly playing like the voice against illegal immigration when his record isn’t all that great and he seems to contradict himself as in ‘path to citizenship’. But Fred gets away with his flip-flops like campaign finance reform which showed extremely bad judgment.

I think that she fears Duncan Hunter the most because he is the only true conservative that can rally the base and bring back the Reagan democrats with his call for restoring our industrial base and securing the borders.

They are afraid of him. Back in the early stages of the race, some of the typical lefty-flaks (I'm thinking of "wonkette" in particular) tried to dirty up Hunter a bit, but quickly went silent. Why? I think it's because they were told to be quiet about Hunter in hopes that he would never get the national exposure necessary to win.

He CAN win. He just needs to be seen and heard by the people. The media (and the RNC to a lesser extent) is all about making sure that doesn't happen.

Like it or not, DH is going to have to do or say something completely outrageous to kick in the door and make the MSM cover him in time to garner more votes in the primaries. It's a sad commentary, but competence, decency, and tact is just not enough to make an impression in modern politics.

It was a two hour debate too, was it not? That is pathetic.

ALL of them are suddenly playing like they are strong against illegal aliens. The problem is that none of them mean it- the RINOs (Giuliani, Romney) and the "Compassionate Conservatives" (Huck, McCaine, Thompson) have all said otherwise at an earlier time.

Sorry to the Thompson fans and the Huckster fans (Won't apologize for RINOs or idiots), but "Path to Citizenship" is a deal breaker for this Bigoted Nativist. I'll NEVER vote for them.

I couldn't agree more. Anyone who thinks to the contrary needs a history lesson. The odds on favorite to win nomination in the 1860 GOP convention was William Seward. In the end Abraham Lincoln won. What makes it more remarkable is the fact he didn't hold a political office at the time and hadn't for 11 years! He had one term as a U.S. Representative and failed twice to become a U.S. Senator! Duncan Hunter has been in office 26 years.

>I am surprised that Huckabee is the big surprise in the current Iowa polls and not Hunter....<

I am only surprised and saddened because more people in Iowa seem to want to be entertained by a phoney than are impressed by an honorable man with his finger on ALL of the important problems facing the country today, as well as the solid solutions to those problems.

>I’m soooo tired of the candidates not getting equal time...<

That’s the Pravda mindset for you! The big boys (globalists)own the MSM, and the big boys (globalists) will have their way because so many of the American people cannot think for themselves.

I don't think Iowa means much anymore... I mean, they have consistently been the hardest of the Plains States for Republicans to win. Iowa's traditional attractiveness was it's neutrality of party, while retaining its conservative farming roots... If a candidate played well in Iowa, he would do well across the nation. But I think that pearl has lost it's luster.

Hunter is going to play well in the Great Plains and in the Rockies, as well as in his home turf, the Desert Southwest. Where he needs to get his message out the most is in the South, as Thompson/Huckabee nativity is going to be very hard to overcome.

He can’t do anything outrageous, remember the purpose of Hunter’s campaign is so that he can turn his seat over to his son.

While the 52nd is a safe seat, it isn’t certain that Hunter’s son can beat out other popular conservatives like Steve Baldwin.
