When did it become more embarrassing to have a Bible or even a Confederate flag (as much as I know any thing can be used hatefully) than to stand on national TV and tell us you’re “openly

Is this a great country or what? /s

I can tell you...there are some loud biased hypocrites here that South demonize as well as any liberal journalist...and they call themselves conservatives

No question necessary: he was seated in the audience, introduced and given a blankety blank microphone!!! Who even doubted for a second?

Right as rain.

And they try to make us feel guilty every damn minute even while they want to lead boy scout troops and get married as if mating with the same sex was perfectly normal.

So we don’t talk much and we pretend it’s all just fine...until we get a chance to vote and choose our debates. That mess with that army guy....sheesh....

A Cooper Anderson would think it super sophisticated and oh so meterosexual. Us Rubes out here in la..la land, carrying the country on our backs while raising the citizens and soldiers of tomorrow...we don’t buy it.

They really hate that.

The format had lots of stupidity and gotchas built in, but the one thing I did like about tonight was that the candidates got to mix it up more than in the past. It’s often revealing and gives each a chance to better declare their differences.

I see the Paulenistas are already spamming the non-member part of the poll, LOL!! Toss it out now, admin, you’re wasting your time with the non-member opinions and their magical erasing cookies! :-)

Bennett disagreed with Gergen and stated that Mitt did extremely well tonight.

I agree.

In Giuliani’s defense... he did his job which is more than we can say of Ray Nagin.

FR poll is up and running

Looks like the Paulies that aren't FReepers have found it. At least they must be in a warm place near their computers and off the streets.

FWIW, I think Fred Thompson did the best job of advancing his chances in tonight’s debate.

It was a disgusting thing to do. Pictures of Byrd in his robes would have been an accurate description of racism. The broad stroke against that symbol is what ticked me off.
Alot of the South’s young men who lost their lives in that war only knew it was control of their land from Washington.

Mitt’s deer-in-the-headlights moment was caused by this: From the Mormon church creed “The Articles of Faith:
#8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

Mitt didn’t want to touch that with a ten-foot pole.

You know, I’m starting to really dislike those freepers that choose to slam Romney for his religion. One day you religion could be slammed too, probably already has been, like Catholics who are slammed all the time, especially by Hollyweird, evangelicals who are portrayed as snake handlers and southern rednecks, Jews who are slammed for anything and everything. They can come for you next, and you Romney bashers based on his religion which is not some New Age one that just popped up, it came along with the settlement of our country in the move west, make me sick. What kind of people are you? If religious, you sure don’t act it.

Was the plant the gay retired general/whatever? If he was so proud of being gay, why did he WAIT 40 years to tell people AFTER he retired?? Maybe he could have changed conditions if he’d outed himself before that!

Re: Thompson/Hunter with Tancredo as chief of Homeland Security.. That works for me.
You are going to need 62 million votes and 30 states to elect the next President.
Which Kerry states can Thompson, running with Hunter, win?
And can they win Ohio?

If Her Ankleship or Obama head the Dem ticket... not just yes, but HELL YES!
