Because of Rummy we had the Iraqi forces trained and ready to play their part in the Surge. He prevented us from "Americanizing' the war the way you Dinocons wanted to do in 2004. You are part of the same clique that were screaming for 250,000 more US "boots on the ground" in Iraq. And McCain was your biggest DC cheerleader!
Thankfully Rummy was able to tell you idiots to shove it. What a disaster listening to you people would of been! Don't come here NOW and try lying to us about Rummy and the crap you idiots were pushing on Iraq.
What we needed was to surge US troops to marry up with the Iraqis to give them some depth as well a example. It was on the job training.
Rummy's mistake was underestimating the time and effort it would take to get the Iraqis up and running. But we fixed that problem with 35,000 US troops surged to thicken the Iraqis battle order.
That only 215,000 LESS then people like YOU were screaming for. So don't come here NOW and start lying about Rummy NOR falsely trying to claim credit for the Surge.
