“Yes, one must vote for a lifelong abortion foe, or we will go to hell, lose our soul and become unprincipled scum of the earth.”
More than a little over the top. you assume pro-life voters do not care about other issues...WRONG..but it is the ONE issue they won’t compromise on...Your name calling won’t change the reality...27% of the GOP base is pro-life and they won’t sell out....it is just reality.
Have you not seen the Rasmussen polls that showed that 27% of the GOP base will NOT vote for a pro-abort canidate?
Do the math, if Rudy gets the nonimation, say hello to DEM RULE.
Don’t get me wrong...I don’t want Huckabee...I do not believe he can win either....At this point I prefer Fred, but he just doesn’t seem to be gathering much steam.
Yay! Just what America needs!
Another ethically challenged Big Government governor from Arkansas who plays fast and loose with the facts.
I guess you might as well stay home and get used to “Madame President”
A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Giuliani.No, it's more like a vote for Huckabee is a vote for Bill Clinton.
Not for me! I still think Rudy is a lying POS for the way he treats the 2nd Amendment and gun owners. If we had to have Rudy, I think having Huckabee on the ticket would mollify gunowners. That would put him in the catbird seat in eight years. I'll bet he could restrain Rudy from doing a ton of damage in the meantime. Right now, I'm a FREDERALIST, but I wouldn't be totally unhappy with a Huckabee ticket. Everything I've heard from him or about him doesn't seem too bad on illegal immigration. Sure he said he didn't want to punish the kids of illegals who use our schools, but aside from that I see no issue with his stance on the border. He seemed to give some strong hints he might actually do what is really necessary and militarize the borders. That IS after all, the first duty of the US Military as defined in the US Constitution.
If Huckabee establishes himself as the alternative to Giuliani, he has an excellent chance of winning the nomination. Recent polls in Florida already show him surging there without the massive bounce a win in Iowa would provide:

I wish it was Fred Thompson that was doing what Huckabee is. But, it isn't looking good for Fred.
Huckabee’s the worst candidate in the GOP field (Paul excluded). Giuliani’s a close second.
“Someone slaps minister on his title and people go nuts?”
If that were true, the phony Romney would have it all, he was a much higher church title than the Huckster.
TRUE
What, no complaint about the title being a lie because the poll is within the margin of error so in fact Mitt is tied with Huckabee for 1st?
I didn’t think so.
Forty-six percent (46%) of likely caucus participants think that Romney will win in Iowa this year while 25% think Huckabee will win on January 3.
That could be a problem for Romney, since the actual primary IS next year. :-)
To hell with our soldiers in two war theaters.
I'm no fan of Huckabee, but your statement is rather stupid nevertheless. On what are you basing the notion that Huckabee would say "To hell with our soldiers in two war theaters"?
Face it - We don't need Giuliani to have a credible pro-military, pro-victory candidate. Any of the Republicans running, Ron Paul excepted, would fit the bill and not sell our troops out.
Aren’t you the clever one?
Willard shouldn’t be tied with anyone in Iowa. He should be winning by 8-10 points.
Rudy -- bad for those of us who care about abortion;
Huckabee -- bad for those of us who care about anything other than abortion;
Romney -- bad for those of us who care about anything.
To early to win the post of the day but you did it :)
He is Bush-lite on immigration and Hillary-lite on fiscal issues. No thanks.

Huckabee Has to Answer These Criticisms

Where is Spiff and his charts?
I'm of the opinion that Tom Tancredo will win the Iowa Caucus on December 24... bet nobody's expecting that.... :-)
>>How sad. I guess nothing matter but abortion in the primary anymore.
As Ann Coulter said: “On illegal immigration, Huckabee makes George Bush sound like Tom Tancredo.”<<
I’m not sure this is so sad.
Fred and Duncan Hunter are clearly not gonna win Iowa. Its probably better for either Huckabee or Romney to win to make the point that Guiliani is not invincible.
Given the millions he's spent, Willard shouldnt be tied with anyone in Iowa. He should be winning by 8-10 points.
Better!
