A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Giuliani. If Huckabee establishes himself as the alternative to Giuliani, he has an excellent chance of winning the nomination. Recent polls in Florida already show him surging there without the massive bounce a win in Iowa would provide:

I wish it was Fred Thompson that was doing what Huckabee is. But, it isn't looking good for Fred.

The problem is that neither Huckabee nor Thompson have enough support individually to overcome Giuliani’s lead, IMO. If Huckabee remains this strong by February 5, Giuliani could wrap up the nomination based on Huckabee and Thompson dividing the social conservative vote.

No he does not, this is wishful thinking along the lines of Rudy winning California and New Jersey for the GOP.
