(CNN) -- Sudan has arrested a British teacher for insulting faith and religion, the British Foreign Office said Monday.
Numerous media reports say Gibbons was arrested after allowing her class of 7-year-olds to name a teddy bear "Mohammed."
That could be seen as an insult to the Prophet Mohammed, the reports said.

The worst part about hearing this story was how CNN and AP Radio news reported it.
They made it sound as if the teacher really had committed a "crime" and talked about it in tones as if she had raped and murdered somebody.
They should have mocked Islam with acid sarcasm - but we all know how liberals "think."

I must have sports on the brain. When I saw “UK”, I instantly thought the University of Kentucky.

Prayers for this poor lady, that she will escape this senseless beating.
I understand King Fahd can commute the sentence, so prayers for him, too.

...or is the king of Sudan named Fahd? There’s a Saudi royal with the same name, hard to keep track of them all...

Fahd is a Saudi. But - he is rich and powerful.
Here she is again. She obviously loves and tries to help these people.
For her efforts and kindness to children, she is persecuted, threatened with 40 lashes, and arrested.
If anyone doubts Islam is evil, they lack discernment.

I don’t want them here, and she shouldn’t be there. They are freaking savages, and I suspect she was awfully naive. That is the truth; I don’t begrudge or blame her, if she accepts that this indeed was a possibility when she took a job in The Land of Mo. If she doesn’t, she’s going to learn the hard way what many of us already know: Islam is not compatible with a flourishing Western Civilization. It should be contained and isolated.

That could be seen as an insult to the Prophet Mohammed, the reports said. I would say it is more an insult to teddy bears.
We have done nothing but bring love to the world unlike Mo and Co.

What a barbaric religion. Not that I'm supporting Islam, but I'm curious if you would say the same about a religion that would stone a man for collecting sticks (firewood) on the Sabbath.

Maybe one of those teddy bear companies could come out with a whole new set (for example, Vermont Teddy Bears has Firefighter Bear, Nurse Bear, Santa Bear, etc.)...one could have Muslim Bear, Christian Bear, Hindu Bear, etc.
