Cancellation of the Lakota East High School play "Ten Little Indians" by school administrators has created a stir in the community.

The leader of the local NAACP said administrators, who canceled the play citing its violent content and racial title, made the right decision. But one Lakota board member said she disagrees with the decision.

Our High School play this year was “Hankerin’ Hillbillies”. I guess its ok to make fun of white underprivledged folk, seein hows no one objected it and we all had a good time doin it.

The original title is “Lakota Cancels School Play”. Readers not from my area would have no idea what Lakota High School is, therefore, I replaced the name of the high school with “High School”.

No other intentions meant.

It’s a baseless complaint.

So she originally titled it “Ten Little Niggers”.

In England, where the term could not possibly have carried the “baggage” it carries here (at least, when honkies use it).

It never had that title here.

The NAACP, once again, is creating a problem that didn’t exist before.

NAACP needs to stay out of schools. they got my senior play canceled because it was "inherently racist with no parts for black students" (we were supposed to do grease) never mind that we had no black student even show up for tryouts.
worse, they got it replaced with little shop of horrors- which, oddly, has no "black" rolls either.
