I believe it was the other way around Mr. ex-Mayor. Very well stated, Graybeard58!

In May he spoke at an open forum in Washington about the effects of last year's immigration raid on a meatpacking plant here, which led to the detention of 262 undocumented workers criminals. He should have spoken out against the stupidity of using illegal hiring practices.

One-third of Greeley is Latino.
Yet, the challenger won the mayoral election by a 3-to-2 margin.
Does this purport to tell us that the only people who voted for the incumbent were Latino?
Or does it tell us that a significant number of the LEGAL Latinos in Greeley -- and there are many -- voted for the challenger, as well? And only the white liberals and a few "activists" voted for the incumbent?

Hard to tell, but, my guess remains ... they are taught to pull any lever that has a [D] after the name.

The ex-mayor whines he feels betrayed——and he depicts Americans as full of hate.
This loser is wrong, wrong, wrong.
Americans respect the rule of law and they expect others who arrive here to do the same.
Our laws must be enforced or we are no better than the corrupt Third World these invaders emanate from.
CASE IN POINT 12-20 million illegal immigrants invaded our country and routinely use forged documents to get on the US gravy train, to pocket tax-paid freebies they are not entirled to.
Americans are NOT racists that this bothers them.
Americans are patriots who love their country and believe politicans’ failure to enforce the law is corrosive to a free democracy.

Every worthless RINO and RAT politician who thinks this way needs to be booted out of office and out of politics, asap. THEY are the ones who are betraying America, trashing our laws, screwing real Americans whose jobs and money are taken by these ILLEGAL invaders.

When will the liberal press ever learn? They're not "undocumented workers"....they're illegal aliens. Is a burglar an "undocumented house guest"?

Politicians of both parties dont realize how visceral this issue is for voters. The issue is not racism or intolerance or bigotry. The issue is upholding the law.
Actually, the issue is bigger and deeper than just upholding the law. The real issue is culture, American culture. At the heart of any culture is a set of values; and one core value of American culture is respect for the rule of law.
