What a beautiful young lady. May God continue to bless this family.
Praise God!
Great story! God Bless Lori, Donna, and their family.
Sending it to the parents of my Downs Syndrome granson!
What a blessing! God’s grace is endless, May he bless this family with his choicest of blessings.
God bless them. I have a 42 year old Down Syndrome cousin, and she is the sweetest person you could ever meet. She wasn't suppose to live past 6 weeks with all the problems she had.
The people I know with Downs are without question the friendliest and most caring people I’ve ever known in my life. I am well aware of the “frustration” they and their families go through, but it is always overcome by the joy they share.
Thank you for posting this.
You’re most welcome.
When my wife was pregnant with our daughter the doctor asked if we wanted to do an amniocentesis (sp?) to determine if my daughter had Down’s syndrome. We told him absolutely not. First, because even if my daughter had Down’s, we would keep and lover her anyway and second, there was a significant chance that the procedure would cause a miscarriage.
Katy Beth is almost 7, beautiful, and a perfect straight A student.
I fear that if the left gets its way with socialized medicine there would be no choice in prenatal testing for Downs and positive results (even though there are a lot of false positives) would require mandatory abortion.
As it stands, most positive prenatal tests end in abortion.

Amazing, isn't it, that the very people some hold up in a position nearly like a 'god', the medical professionals, often err. Had everyone followed their advice there would be many in this world who would not exist, their lives would not have touch others and made a difference. My grandson would not be alive today, had my daughter listened to the medical advice she received. There must be hundreds of stories like this! Yet, there are states that are pushing initiatives that will provide exceptions for rape and incest, as if those children do not deserve the right to live either.
Wonderful story! And kind of “local” to me since I’m about 20 miles from Bristol!
They may have strongly advised and veiled threats of not being overly sympathetic or treatment being given that promptly etc but never forced.
