Most dry cleaners are owned by Koreans and nail boutiques are owned by Vietnamese. But take-outs are usually Chinese.

China isnt going there for scientific reasons, and I doubt that theres a WalMart there. What are they doing?
Staking a claim since the USA is too stupid and bound by the United Nations Outer Space Treaty.
The minute China can reliably put people up there expect them to ship in surface-to-space missiles, renounce the treaty and make a territory grab.

I'll bet they're working right now on a capsule with a parachute that will splash down in the ocean.
We have much to learn from them.

Hmmm...the hanger they filmed their moon scenes in looks almost as good as the hanger we used! I think our set designers made more realistic looking craters, but ya gotta give ‘em credit for the outstanding lighting!

I think their capsule lands in the Mongolian grasslands.

thought it was going to be this kind of Chinese moon picture:
Chinese Moon
To: woollyone
Give me a billion dollars and I’ll build you an even more realistic set!
To: charles m
Maybe they can get a pic of our landing site, and shut up the weenies who say we never went (among them my best friend, an electronic tech)
To: charles m
WOW! Just think about all the rest of the things they have to look foward too. Only 20 years left till they get cable and the “old” MTV that we use to love.
To: charles m
I would expect China to be the first to install a rocket base there.

Been done with Mariner, Ranger, Surveyor, manned Apollo flights, and a few other unmanned probes since. Looks good, but the ones we took decades ago are better.

Hey, China’s kind of fascist, maybe they can do it.

1968? I guess you’ve completely forgotten about the Ranger program then.
