Good for Fred. Good for his excellent, broad based, tax-cut plan including a flat-tax option and a corporate tax cut.
Good for him for snapping back at Foxs Chris Wallace when he tried to pull a fast one by citing Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer as proof-pudding that Fred cant win. Good for Fred for mentioning National Review and Investors Business Daily for speaking positively about his candidacy. (So, is it true that Fox is dedicating itself to Rudy?)
Good for Fred for showing fire, energy, and animation throughout the interview. Its the same fire in the belly that I witnessed in our CNBC interview earlier this month.
Look, I have no idea whether Fred can win the GOP nomination. Frankly, I have no idea who is going to win it. And as Ive written here before, Im not picking sides. However, I do want a strong and determined Republican field. And I certainly think Fred has regained his footing.
I vastly prefer positive policy visions to down-in-the-mud trashing. (I know, I know, criticizing each other on the issues is a key part of politics.) But my great hope is that the Republican contenders will emphasize their key policy visions as the race heats up.
The 6 pm Fox News will be fun tonight.
I tell ya...as a former FredBasher...I am more and more impressed with him.
Unlike the other front-runners, there seems to be a lot of sincerity whenever FDT has made strong pro-American statements. And his tax plan makes good sense
Also...he is 100% correct about Fox News...who has been pandering for Rudy from day one. They have been negative regarding FDT and the other candidates
In addition, it is no secret Rupe Murdoch has held fund raisers for Hillary....so no doubt Fox News and its parent are not conservative....shilling for two NY liberals
Darn I always liked Larry. But now Mr. Kudlow, you’ve earned respect again.
Please take a bow.
And their policy initiatives are listed below:

Fox and Rudy as just too New York City for me any longer.Yesterday, I was sitting at the bar in the corner, having brunch and minding my own business, when the girl next to me mentioned Bloomberg. Suddenly, the guy next to her suddenly perked up and gushed, "Oh, I love Bloomberg!!! I wish he'd run for President!!!" and the two girls on the other side of him started jumping up and down and clapping their hands ... "Yes ... oh, yes ..."
This city really is hopeless.
Don't want to peak to early.
I would find a new bar, in a new state.
I agree with Fred- FOX is trashing him. I’m really disappointed in their not-so-subtle bad mouthing of anyone but Rudy. It’s a bad policy and not good for credibility.
Please post their policy initiatives on Social Security reform so we can compare them with Freds.
(sound of crickets chirping...)”
I just clicked “View Replies”, nothing there... Big surprise!
Yep : )
You have our sympathies.
Larry's done a 180 on Fred since June. I'm ecstatic to hear him coming to Fred's defense.
I noticed Wallace either playing dumb, or like some, not getting it entirely,
on Fred’s position on abortion with regards to federalism.
Fred laid it out pretty well, it’s better to have a few states with restrictions than disallowing all restrictions, then working state to state to get the amendment.
I guess if you have a leftist mindset, which I’m not saying Wallace does, you see everything from a top-down control model instead of a bottom up liberty model.
Not just Fox trashing him. Most of the conservative gurus have been disappointingly partisan, including NR. So it’s good to see this from Larry Kudlow.
Fred was absolutely right to raise the issue on Fox. He didn’t whine, he didn’t play the victim card, but he correctly asked why they were so biased. It’s a good question, and I’m afraid the answer is obvious. Some have been bought by Rudy. Others have been bought by Mitt. And it shows.
He's not the only one, which is why Fred's going to surprise even us when he wins the nomination rather handily, after a slow start losing NH and probably IA.
It may not have been Bloomberg he was in love with.
Perhaps he likes girls, saw an opportunity and went for the ... er ... umm ... gold?
The problem with most of the others is that they are mostly single or double issue candidates with very little to say on the broad issues with which Americans are concerned. For example Ron Paul wants to gut the government, Trancredo wants to deport illegals, Duncan Hunter wants to deport illegals, and implement a “fair” tax, and Huckabee wants to be president.
The only candidates with broad vision are Giullianni, Romney, and Thompson. The first’s vision is liberal, the second candidate is liberal, and that leaves only one conservative candidate with vision broad enough to be president.
Go Fred!

You had me up until the last part. “Some have been bought?” This sounds a bit VRW Conspiracy to me.
I've seen many others make similar statements over the last week or so. Good to see you weren't so entrenched and that you were willing to take another look. :)
