... & pardon these 2 Saturday, November 24, 2007
The degrading, draconian and disgraceful incarceration of former Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean indicates President George W. Bush, the self-anointed compassionate conservative, is capable of stone-cold stupidity. By doing their duty along the near-lawless border with Mexico, Messrs. Ramos and Compean have become tragic symbols of this nation's gross incompetence regarding enforcement of immigration law.

I hope Bush isn’t planning to go to the Republican Convention in ‘08. He needs to be hidden away for the next 12 months.
No, they have simply become the victims of "corrupt" New World Order, Globalist Elite Leaders who will let nothing or no one stand in the way of their agenda,...be it the drug trade or the NAU.
He is a social liberal and has been a disappointment to us who believed he would be a conservative President.
IMO he understands perfectly well, he just doesn’t care.
But now Aldrete-Davila has been arrested again. He's charged with (surprise, surprise) marijuana trafficking. This, while profiting from the federal-immunity deal.Per some reports, Aldrete-Davila pocketed well over $1Million from the US Government for his services in testifying against Ramos and Compean.
I still say someone somewhere has him by the cojones over something concerning Mexico.
Did Eric Clapton sing a song about it?
Bush made a lot of commitments back in Texas, lots of promises. Cheap labor for your support.
His brother also is married to a Spanish Person.
Bush has one bad failing!! he don’t like to admit he is ever wrong on any subject. that is real bad
Now. Where is that conservative Republican?
If Congress were really behind these two, they would retaliate against the Administration and the courts by reducing the penalty for a border control officer shooting, even killing an illegal immigrant entering the US down to a misdemeanor. Let the pro-immigration people feel the heat of a backlash.
...and pardon these two!! (Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean)...
jorge bush...the first cheerleader of the illegals!!!!
Texas 2 ping!
If you want on, or off this S. Texas/Mexico ping list, please FReepMail me.
I agree with your statement wholeheartedly.
I cannot believe he has not pardoned these two Americans working for us and gave a drug dealer with an additional “hole” another chance to continue his illegal illegal existance.
Common sense has left the building.
I would rather they be given a new trial based upon prosecutorial misconduct and the evil U.S. attorney be tried for his withholding of pertinent information, convicted, sentenced to a long prison term, and taught the words, “Would you like to super size that, sir?” when in the can.”
Another view: George Bush, ignore the opinions of the prosecuters, the investigators, the other BP agents, the judge, the appeals court, and the jury, and substitute your own judgment based on the simple fact that two men were Border Patrol Agents and therefore incapable of being criminals.
Of course, if you say it that way, it doesn’t sound as good as when you slander the President and act like the entire world is on your side except there’s one guy who is stubbornly standing against the overwhelming evidence that your side is correct.
Why, do you think you and one of your buddies will show up and do him harm? Because in general, among Republicans, the President is still well-received.
If you’d like to show up and shout at him for a while, I’m guessing you won’t find much welcome from those who don’t demonize people for not agreeing with them.
bttt
I have not read a single thing that says he’s being paid for his participation. So do you have a link to these stories?
Or maybe you are confusing the medical care he’s received to treat his wounds from what has been ruled an illegal shooting. Not that it matters, because United States policy is to provide medical treatment for all people who are shot by our law enforcement officers, regardless of whether the shooting was valid or not.
His injuries were severe, so I guess it’s possible, but not likely, that the total medical bill would add up to a million.
And of course, that treatment would not be conditioned on his testimony, so the statement would still be false.
There was a mention of how Sutton was going to help him with a 5-million-dollar lawsuit. I’ve heard nothing of that. Sutton dismissed that saying what he wanted to do was arrest him for drug smuggling. Sutton’s detractors scoffed at that, saying Sutton would never put his “good buddy” drug smuggler in jail.
Now of course Sutton HAS arrested him for drug smuggling, so we can see who was right and who was wrong on that matter.
