President Bush Supports Hillary Clinton?
Townhall.com ^ | November 23, 2007 | Dick Morris & Eileen McGann

Just when every poll has Hillary slipping, she has gotten a shot in the arm from a very unlikely source: President George W. Bush.

In an interview on Tuesday featuring the first couple and Charles Gibson, the president said of Mrs. Clinton "No question, there is no question that Sen. Clinton understands pressure better than any of the candidates, you know, in the race because she lived in the White House and sees it first — could see it first-hand."

By saying that she “understands the klieg lights,” Bush lent credence to Hillary’s campaign assertion that she could “hit the ground running” if she were elected president.

Would somebody please explain to us what Bush is doing, touting Hillary just as the rest of America is finally catching on to her artificial, evasive and contrived campaigning style?

I see the President's statement as a sarcastic implication of the dirt that was under the rug when the Clinton's left the whitehouse in it's blackened state.

Choose to remain blind.

Bush is so hated by the left that this probably hurts the beast among the move on kos kids. And Bush just stated the obvious... it was no endorsement in any stretch.

Bush’s quasi endorsement....does nothing to help Hillary in the primaries, where democratic whack job voters cringe at the thought of supporting anything Bush does

Bingo! How does a Bush endorsement help Hillary with those that suffer from BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome.) Fact is, it doesn't.

But as I was watching the Dem debate the other night, it did strike me that each candidate was probably as bad, if not worse than Hillary. He may be stating the obvious, Hillary is the Dems "best" candidate.

Was the BLUE DRESS before or after Hillry put Panetta in charge of babysitting Bill Clinton? I seem to have in my memory his job title did not change until after. Rove recently talking about he got Hillry's old West Wing office really tells much about who was who and what was what... I also think that Hillry had the power of veto, over her hubby, say like when Republican Congressional leaders would meet with him, before they could get out of the White House drive Clinton was saying the opposite of what he had just said.... Hillry cracking her whip...

This is the most descriptive or more simply the most words President Bush has ever uttered in my memory regarding Hillry, up to date all I recall him having to say is that she is formidable. However, John Ashcroft really let out to the sleeping public about who was running things when he told US and the world about that WALL of protection built within government agencies to data mine any intel that would expose the Clintons underworld.

I have read “Compromised.” It opened my eyes to American politics like nothing else had ever done. Just to know that Clinton and Bush were both CIA and that it had been decided years in advance that they would be president explained a lot about how we could have ended up with such a disastrous string of presidencies.

Right, the Bush Derangement Syndrome on the left will probably remain just as bad as ever.

The only “shot in the arm” anyone should give Hillary is a needle with an excessive dose of morphine.

{just kidding)

Because if Bush endorses her, the idiot left will not vote for her out of their hatred for Bush.

Strategery?

I've given up trying to explain to my friends and relatives what el presidente is doing. He may be finally succeeding in Iraq, but on the border issues and the UN attempting a power grab of US sovereignty....he's more than just an embarrassment.

Yes, it was one of the books that opened my eyes too. And the stuff that they're trying to keep covered up is why I fear that they're going to try to pass the baton to Hillary, to continue the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton dynasty we've got going on. (which would be 24+ years of 2 families)

I'm just praying for Paul to surprise a lot of people and win. I would be happy with any non-globalist, non-crook constitutionalist candidate, but as of now he is the only one with a growing strong following.

What gives?

FWIW, there has always been a Kennedy in our U.S. Govt since 1946 and at one time there was a Kennedy president, a Kennedy attorney general and a Kennedy senator.....

Did any of you actually SEE the WHOLE interview? I did. It’s all about CONTEXT, people. The President went on to say that if Hillary is the nominee, she will be beaten by the republican nominee. Quit looking for things that fit your pre-conceived notion of things and pay attention to ALL the details.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I was just getting ready to post this very thing until I read your comment.

Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton....does this remind anyone else here of a banana republic? There has been a Bush or a Clinton in the White House since January of 1981(including Vice President George H.W. Bush from 1981-89). What gives?

Hillary, Jeb, Chelsea, George P.????

Read the book Compromised: Clinton, Bush and the CIA.

Don't you just love it when Bush and Clinton make "Goo-Goo Eyes" at each other.
Makes me feel like a Tootsie Roll Pop.

You make a valid point, however, Bush needs to be more cautious in what he says when giving interviews like this. In today’s world of “sound bites” context is not important to the liberal media. They will take comments like this “out of context” just so that they use it to their advantage and make it appear that Bush is supportive of Hillary. Carol Rove must have cringed when he read these comments from his previous employer. The less Bush says between now and the election the better.

If Bush keeps praising Hillary, she will lose for sure.

A Conspiracy theorist on coasttocoastam couple of nights ago chalked it up to bilderberger, new world order, alien hybrid conspiracy cabal. He said Ron Paul is our only salvation.
