Attention MSTies! The original cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is back together again to produce new shows where they riff on bad movies just like they did on the Satellite of Love! Joel Hodgson has the site up and running but they have yet to produce any episodes. Click here for the website.
At the website, you can sign up for a newsletter that will keep you informed of their progress! Sounds exciting guys!
Will Mike, Bill, Kevin, and Trace be involved?
Sweeeett!!
This is excellent news. Are Mike Nelson , Kevin Murphy et. al. on board as well? (I know Mike Nelson has his own site -Rifftrax).
Ping that!
Thanks. Bump!
I did not see Kevin’s and Mike’s names there. Trace Beaulieu is onboard as well as TV’s Frank Coniff, Mary Jo Pehl and J. Elvis Weinstien, who was the very first Tom Servo.
oh man, i just picked up some mst dvd’s this week! i love them.
whoo-hoo, another thing to be thankful for!
WIFE-O-BUCKHEAD
Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes!
Do Battlefield Earth and Mission to Mars!
I’m sure there will be some use rights issues, but I would really like to see them do some of the more recent turkeys. The remake of Rollerball could be first. Starship Troopers is ripe for getting ripped too.
bttt, now if I can only find my old National Lampoon Radio Hour tapes....
DO NOT UP-GRADE, MODERNIZE, IMPROVE or in any other way alter the show.
The same costumes and etc.
I don't know if I could sit through the Rollerball remake a second time, ripped or not...
I like the one where they watch those old info-movies from the 1950s, like the bread salesman, the waterskiers, the college girl who wants to elope, etc.
I loved this show! Didnt miss an episode when they were on the otherwise putrid Comedy Central, then on Sci Fi. I thought it was hysterical and I have always hoped they would produce some new shows.
This is great news!
Does anyone out there remember another show that I thnk was called Mad Movies or something like that? They had different voice actors do the voices for various movies. The one I can remember was with Shirley Temple and this doll that she had that seemed evil. I think the also did Night of the Living Dead where the zombie in the cementary kept saying “Telegram”. I have been searching for this for years.
AWESOME!!!
