Sorry - I have a bad habit of making obscure metaphysical jokes while having tongue planted firmly in cheek.

The concept, rather than being an attempt to describe the ineffable in human terms, is simply that ALL physical “laws” that we make up to explain our perception of time and space are null and void when it comes to describing the “actions” of a transcendent God.

God, and by inference heaven (direct communion with God), cannot exist in time or space (as we know and describe them) but rather exist only in the Non-Locality of Now.

We are fractal, bearing characteristics of the Creator (made in His image) but at the same time being distinct and apart from Him. We are holographic projections of conscious thought, imperfectly perceiving ourselves as occupying four dimensions (or two to three “heavens” if you wish) but in fact being residents of hyperdimensional reality.

If that doesn’t make sense, then just remember that “Mea navicula pedens anguillarum plena est.”

“That’s the Mayan date for the end of the world!”

Or they just ran outta space on that rock.....

Just to be contrary here, Jesus says that no man knows the time of the end, not even Himself.

Only God knows the date.

To me, I guess it's a way of saying the same thing in different terms. I mostly agree with what you're attempting to put into words (once we get on a subject like this, we can only attempt), so it seems to me that we're talking around the same reality to some extent.

I'm not sure what I think of the 'Non-Locality of Now' idea, unless you're tying in concepts like John 17:21-24, Col 1:16-19, Eph 1:3-4, 10, 20-23, 2:6. Which seem to indicate an existence on multiple levels of reality and multiple relationsips to God- all at once.

But I was simply stating a certain method of perception, using quantum physics and the speed of light to provide a starting point for our limited minds to grasp.

Then again, maybe we still don't agree..lol

Didn't the world end for the Mayans centuries ago? I think they made a mistake.

Seriously, I have seen enviro-whacks and new agers get all knotted up over this. Who knows, maybe they'll get saved!

“The world dodged a bullet in 1908.”

The world dodged a bullet last year, twice.

One was an asteroid which we had not ‘seen’ coming. It didn’t come close enough to warrant a big scare, but the problem was we didn’t ‘see’ it until it was almost ‘upon us.’

The second was not an asteroid or comet. It was a MCE from SUNSPOTS.

One of the SUNSPOTS gave off a MASS CORONAL EJECTION, swiftly sending RAYS toward the Earth. Most of the time this happens, the rays are a combination of different parts of the EM spectrum. This time it was dominated by X-RAYS.

x-Rays and about 100 times stronger than any previously recorded emissions from the sun.

The ‘beam’ just barely glanced off the side of the Earth, causing some disruption and damage to a few satellites.

I noticed that in the MSM, on the internet, that no one was even talking about it.

So, I asked someone who is a noted scientist, works for NASA, has many published scientific papers and books, and is highly regarded in the Astronomy field.

I asked him why the silence? What would have happened had the beam hit square on?
Would the areas in the direct line of fire be TOAST, FRENCH FRIES?

All he responded with was “yes”. There was no further discussion or explanation. I could see why.

“a person can live his life as he chooses with no consequences.”

Actually, whether one believes in God or not, there will be consequences if one does not live an honorable and ethical life in relation to others. Perhaps it is even harder to live such a life if one behaves with principles without doing so because big, bad daddy is standing over you ready to clobber you with everlasting torment.

...big, bad daddy is standing over you ready to clobber you with everlasting torment.

I don't know where you have gotten your impression of God, but a "big bad daddy ready to clobber you with everlasting torment" doesn't describe the God of the Scriptures; the God who loved us so much He sent His son to take our place in that "everlasting torment" so that we wouldn't have to spend eternity there and suffered the heartbreak of the loss of His Son so that we could spend eternity with Him. That's not someone whose ready to "clobber" anybody.

And since each person has his own definition of an "honorable and ethical life in relation to others", I'd hate to be the person whose definition didn't measure up to God's. What if what we consider to be "honorable and ethical" differs from somebody like Jeffrey Dahmer's opinion of "honorable and ethical"? How do we know who is right? Where do we go to find out if our definition is the one God will accept?

I see people all the time who live their lives according to their own "moral code" and never suffer any consequences at all, not in this life at least. Donald Trump, for example, marries women, makes babies, discards the women and the kids and goes on to the next one and keeps getting richer and richer and richer. Donald Trump is quite comfortable, I'm sure, with his behavior which has caused him no genuine suffering whatsoever. Donald Trump suffers no consequences as the result of his choices.

At any rate, the fact remains that we do have free will, and we will one day face God, and will answer for the choices we have made. And we will meet Jesus Christ as either our Savior or as our Judge. It's our choice.

Exactly my point, big daddy (God, Jesus) standing over us ready to judge and/or punish.

Actually for at least 2,500 years philosophers and religious persons alike have basically ascribed to the Golden Rule. do unto others as you would have them do unto you, or do not do anything to another that you would not like to have done to you. By this measure Donald Trump has fallen a bit behind.

If He was ready to judge and/or punish, He wouldn't have given us an escape from that punishment.

If a person is "punished", it's because that's what he chooses.

Why should a person be punished because he doesn’t choose to believe what you, or Muslims, or Catholics, or Mormons, etc. believe. Everyone insists they have the right and only answer. The one thing that most moral philosophers have agreed upon for the past 2,500 years is some variety of the Golden Rule. Why should a truly good person have to believe in one of these religions to practice the Golden Rule since it makes sense standing alone and does require committment and effort to practice it. As I said before, it takes more strength to do something because it is good, than to do something because you think some supernatural force is going to judge you some day.
