"They basically just said, sorry for the inconvenience. Go ahead and clean it up. Clean up our mess," Irwin said.

Someone at the police department needs to go to prison for breaking and entering. I hope this lady sues the hell out of the Lawrenceburg police department.

“It looked like they were ready to go to war,” one neighbor said. “Some of the ones out here had AR15’s and shotguns.”

Obviously the police department messed up here big time and needs to make amends. But I found the above quote hilarious...what did they think SWAT would be using to go after a potentially dangerous criminal? A BB gun?

She said one of her pet guinea pigs was also killed during the incident.

When they kill the dog, they say "The deputy felt his life was in danger". But now they're killing guinea pigs!

"This is the first time this has happened. I'm surprised the incident has not been remedied. We will take care of it the best we can," the assistant chief said.

What a POS chief, you could start by firing your self right after you fire a bunch of those jack booted thugs. Somebody has got to put a stop to this crap.

They spent hours next to my parents one night, trying to talk out a man they had already heard kill himself on the phone.

The guys brother told the cops the garage is full of ammo he was stockpiling it and he refused to throw away newspapers for years......so the wise Johnson county Indiana swat tean shot flash grenades and tear gas into the house as they stormed it.

Luckily they only burnt that house down while the ammo cooked off and the only real injury ( aside from the suicide) was one deputy who ran so fast through the front door that he didn't stop until he ran through the patio door in the back at which time he discharged his weapon into his heel.

It could have been alot worse .

The assistant chief is a pure idiot. It happens all the time.

She could have invited the cops in & this would not have happened. Yes, the swat guys are scary looking, but look at who they are dealing with, and it is not the everyday citizen, who goes to work and pays their stolen wages to the govt. and goes to church and PTA & ect...

On the other hand they [the police dept.] is responsible for repairing the damages that they have caused in this act. They should have had better intel before they raided that home! And the lady should sue the PD for the actions that did!

She lucky they didn't kill her. That happened in Kansas City, KS a few years ago. Wrong house, home-owner woke up, tried to defend his family and was murdered by the cops.

No charges against the cops of course.

"Some of the ones out here had AR15's and shotguns."

ok, so why is it that if its a private citizen with a gun, its always an "AK47 assault rifle" implying that the citizen had an illegal, full auto rifle, but cops carry "AR15s" which is the semi auto version of the M16- the M16 being the gun they are probably actually carrying?

The police DO enjoy their weaponry power trip. It is like watching a sick little bully kid take joy of pulling the wings off of flys.

Policeman’s job is easy in a police state.

When you give the big gun, little d*ck types even bigger guns, body armor, armored vehicles, and night vision goggles they just can’t help themselves. Heads need to roll up and down the chain of command from the mayor’s office to the dipshit who pulled the trigger.

ah yes. i'm sure this is an unbiased report. it's funny how we pick and choose what to believe from the media if it fits our beliefs.

i'm not saying it didn't happen, but there is always another side.

Neighbors said police spent hours, ordering Deaton to surrender. But when that didn't work, they responded with tear gas and forced entry.

What? They were outside her apartment for hours and she never spoke to them? That doesn't make sense. Either the reporter got it wrong or...

Wait a minute, the police spent hours outside the apt, demanding that the fugitive surrender, and no one tried to tell the police that the man wasn’t in that apt?

It just sounds a little weird.

From the article:

She said one of her pet guinea pigs was also killed during the incident.

Neighbors said the police action was simply overkill.

“Overpowered. In my opinion it looked like they were enjoying what they were doing. They did not need to do all this,” Emanuel Brightwell, an Iraq veteran and neighbor said.

************************************************************

How can it be overkill when NO dog was shot? NO dog - not one!

A guinea pig hardly counts.

These brave SWAT teams need the exercise, so give them a break!
