"People just turned on us like that," she said. "At least 10 boys stood up and yelled things at me at once, and we couldn't even walk through the halls without a harsh comment being made."Image from Florida Today.

Interesting that they chose the confederate flag as the anti-peace symbol.

Being from The South, to many the “Confederate” flag has become a symbol of patriotism instead of “racism” in the past few decades................

"People tore them down and drew swastikas and 'white power' stuff on them," Lauren said. Of course they did. Of course.

(Why is it that so many self-proclaimed "Constitutionalists" know so little about the Constitution?)
To: Cagey
Schools have become too politicized. I blame the teachers unions and their Leftist agenda for that. If they just taught to a basic curriculum, politics wouldn't be much of a topic. I studied Civics in HS, but it was all about the function of the Supreme Court and the number of seats in the House. Nothing to get worked up over.

Interesting that you are the one who would be the first to mention it. What do you do, get an alert on your cell phone anytime a thread goes up that you can bash the South? LOL!

???
I fail to see any connection. This article is written from one perspective. Who was the students’ “peace club sponsor” that they claimed they had?

Reportedly according to this biased report, it wasn’t an “anti-peace symbol” it was a “support the troops” symbol.
I’m taking everything said in this report with a grain of salt.

Since peace is causing other problems, the peace kids are being punished," Skylar said They are lucky they are not being taught a more painful lesson.
To: ClearCase_guy
Id be willing to bet that more than 75% of those kids couldnt tell you who their two US Senators are. Most wouldnt even know that there are two US Senators per state.

Looks like 2 guys (those are guys on the Left, right?) saw it as a way to get chicks...
And is that top shirt, second from the left, REALLY handmade? How'd he keep it from getting silkscreen ink off the collar?

Much lower tech than that. I read the headlines of the posts as they appear on the screen.

I’d say it’s because they look like dorks, and they’ve just opened up an easy avenue for people to make fun of them.
