Giuliani declared Americans should not expect a pretense of perfection from candidates"......he believes Obamas conversation (about previous drug use) was "completely appropriate......."all of us that run for public office--are all human beings. If we havent made mistakes dont vote for us cause we got some big ones that are gonna happen in the future and we won't know how to handle them.

Rooty and his Tooters amp up the religious cleansing of the Repub Party, throwing out every conservative value, every conservative principle, to assuage this amoral slob's lust for public office.
All of it's just another idiotic dictum from the mouth that's been everywhere.........Rudy is 2008's amoral flyweight.
Giuliani is the face if moral relativity. It's senseless to even try to refute the momumentally flawed reasoning of a nitwit like Giuliani. Because he is a dorkhead who can't keep his fly shut---he DEMANDS the rest of us lower our standards to get himself elected to make even more "mistakes," as he calls them.
Guy is so self-absorbed. His understanding of American voters and American politics is about as deep as a teacup.
Anyone else think that's a direct slam on Mitt Romney?
John Adams
FWIW, I read it more like a mea culpa.
But, Monica did .
Sorry, but I agree with Guiliani on this one. Everyone makes mistakes and these mistakes shouldn’t necessarily preclude someone from becoming president. It depends on the nature of the mistake, whether or not the candidate admits it, when (how long ago) it happened, and what the candidate has done since it happened. If Obama was using crack last week, that would be pretty serious. If he used it 30 years ago, hasn’t touched it since, and admits it was wrong, it changes things.
For example, consider Guiliani’s divorces. Divorce is generally a social ill. On the balance, it harms our society, so it’s a valid topic concerning Guiliani’s candidacy. The nature, number, and timing of the divorces as well as the candidate’s explanations for them should be carefully considered. Remember, Reagan was divorced. Past mistakes shouldn’t be ignored, but sometimes they deserve to be excused.
I didn't do drugs and neither did my friends. Alcohol? I was out of school by that time.

Good move for Rudy.
The balloon was popped before that when JFK held his finger on the nuclear button doped up and did not relinquish authority to LBJ, his VP.
Nowadays a president gets doped for a colon screening and he hands over authority.
This balloon was popped (unfortunately) when the American people accepted that Bill didnt inhale.
But, Monica did .
Remember the blue dress.
It sounds like Rudy is happy to have someone else take the spotlight off of his past transgressions.
Misery LOVES company!!
Bush DUI, e.g. Didn't sway my vote.
Spoken with authority by a man with true experience....
Amen.
This guy used drugs only on a few “O”casions, inhaled only a few times that he can recall, and would also prolly like to be President.

Sounds a little more than occasional drug use to me. Presidential material?
JAY LENO MONOLOGUE:
In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Rudy Giuliani said he is “guided by Jesus and the Bible,” and he doesnt want people to judge him on the facts of his sordid private life.
Giuliani then piously intoned, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” So Mitt Romney hit him in the head with a rock.
