President Bush's former chief political strategist writes that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton can be defeated next year, but he argues it won't be easy.
In his debut column for the liberal Newsweek magazine, Karl Rove describes Hillary as "hard" and "brittle."
Recalling two encounters with the former first lady who seemed agitated by his mentioning of a vanity mirror in her old West Wing office, Rove says Hillary is "tough, persistent and forgets nothing."
He also implied that a controversial question asked to Sen. John McCain by a woman in South Carolina ["How do we beat the bitch?"] was not without justification.
Despite having personal weaknesses, Rove argues that the Republican starts out with a disadvantage. Hillary is just simply better known.
Still, the GOP standard-bearer needs to contrast his personality with hers. "Be authentic," Rove advises to be a foil "against a Democrat who calculates almost everything, including her accent and laugh . . ."
Rove says the Republican candidate should also tackle social issues like health care, aggressively court minorities and show strong support for the war in Iraq.

I don’t often use the 4-letter ‘C’ word that rhymes with a synonym for ‘dwarf’ to describe repugnant women, but in Hildabeast’s case, it’s entirely appropriate.

Rove says Hillary is "tough, persistent and forgets nothing." Unless she's under oath, and then she forgets a lot!!

I don't know if I'd use the "B" word in describing her Well, I like the "B" word Karl Rove uses to describe her: Brittle
An apt description, especially for those of us familiar with fracture mechanics.
I'm hoping her brittle nature causes the SS Hillary to crack wide open like a WWII Liberty ship...

I would go a step beyond brittle. I really think she could snap at some point during the campaign if it becomes too adverse for her.
Does anyone remember that creepy thing she did at Nixon's funeral? She was sitting there and all of a sudden she started rocking back and forth in her seat in that motion that Jews do in front of the wailing wall. It was just as sharp and severe. It was really strange.

Hillary needs to be backed into the corner regarding the military. Is she for bringing back the draft? Why wait for the answer? Start spreading the message now that she is.

I've said for a couple of years that the Pubbies need to find a way to force the Dems hand on REPARATIONS for slave descendants. That would be a win-win for the GOP.
If Hillary and the Dems come out "for" reparations that would alienate many blue-collar, Southern Democrats. If they are "against" reparations, that would piss off a large segment of their Black base; maybe enough to throw the election to the Republican Candidate.
But, the GOP does not have the b***s to make it happen. Matter-of-fact, the GOP doesn't have the b***s to make anything happen these days.
