“Brain Dead” was a stupid and inaccurate phrase to use. Persistent Vegitative State is a much better description of what this poor shell of a woman was at the time she was finally allowed to rest in peace.

unfortunately it would most likely be Fred Thompson because he’s the one talking about her... (Not that Fred’s a bad choice, I just think we can do much better with Duncan Hunter...)

“a much better description of what this poor shell of a woman was at the time she was finally allowed to rest in peace.”

Correction. Make that, “.. finally starved to death by Judaical tyrants.”

PVS? More likely a domestic assault and then...
These funds, the result of a malpractice suit, were meant solely to provide for Terri Schiavo’s care and rehabilitation.

Terry Schiavo’s death = murder by judicial fiat.

"finally starved to death by Judaical tyrants.

Now now. Let's not bring religion into this. As far as we know they could have been Christian.

She wasn’t “allowed to rest in peace.” She was starved to death. People in her exact condition have been known to return to consciousness, and this dear lady expressed humor, sadness, and interest—to name a few indicators of consciousness—before being starved to death. But then, she was SUCH an inconvenience to her “husband,” who wanted to get on with his life-—without her.

The Schiavo case is one everyone should take to heart and have a Living Will on file. Make sure you DO NOT discuss what your wishes are with your spouse.

Why?

Because a spouse can contest the will and you have little to defend yourself other than your words on paper.

In my case, I have, not only signed certified documentation, but video related to the Will itself.

Personally, life in a vegatated state, is not life. It's existence, and with what I have been blessed to see, and experience, it would be a fate worse than death.

If there is one issue that demanded more ACTION from me and other Freepers since the founding of FreeRepublic it is the Schiavo case. The lawmen who were arresting the water carriers needed to be arrested even if by an ad hoc militia.

It is a fearsome thing to go to the brink of killing in order to save life but it is also a very fearsome thing to watch someone die of dehydration because of inaction. I think the Schiavo case has damaged this country immeasurably and is a more deliberate and embarrassing stain on our reputation than My Lai.

Such things just cannot happen in this country and yet it did happen. I should have done something.

I don’t take any position on this case, but the autopsy seems to indicate PVS, dehydration, blindness.

The autopsy report. Has it been disputed?
