Looks like Paul may have bitten off to much to chew on this time. I would bet Kucinich would be in similar trouble.

Well isn’t that a kick in the head for L. Ron Paul?
Beaten in his own backyard by the ‘unelectable’ Duncan Hunter.
That speaks volumes right here, it means that Texans recognize the difference between a patriot (Hunter) and a Kook (Paul).
Pinging the ‘humblegunner’, what was that you were saying about not hearing much about Duncan Hunter?
Bon appetit’ ya jamoke.

There’s no honor for Run Paul; he doesn’t honor his fellow Americans. So why would they honor him. He’s a shallow opportunist, especially on the Iraq war.

Sounds like Ron Paul is “Texas Toast”
This outcome says Texas Republicans arent terribly concerned about viability.
Who the hell is he to say who's viable? Not one single vote has yet been cast. If people like the message of a candidate such as Duncan Hunter and support and vote for him, he's viable. If they go against their own interests, then they are self-defeating and have no one to blame but themselves by settling for a lesser candidate.

Did you know Ron Paul was a doctor?
And he got a signed photograph of himself and Ronald Reagan?
Ron Reagan, Ron Paul? OMG!

This outfit is running radio ads that state Ron Paul is the only candidate who has ever done anything about illegal immigration. We all know Ron has never done one thing to stop it or secure the borders except recently give it lip service. Duncan Hunter and Tancredo have actually gotten legislation through to fix the mess. Ron Paul has never gotten one piece of his legislation through the process. NOT ONE. And they were’nt about illegal immigration. I hope you will let them know not all of us will buy their lies.

Ron Paul has never done anything for the district. He simply cannot play well with others and he has never passed any legislation that benefited us here in South Texas. He's a nice old fart as far as crotchety old geezers go. He passes out little pocket sized US Constitutions and that's a nice thing. I've got one he gave me years ago that I carry around with me still.
Ron Paul's newfound fame as a presidential candidate does not translate in to his being popular in his district. Chris Peden may surprise some folks. Which is exectly the same thing that happened when Paul himself got elected. I know, I was a Paulbot when I was a kid and worked on his campaign against Gammage. The Dems were stunned when Paul won. They won't be stunned with him running as president.

Paul finished third in a straw poll of 1,300 Texas Republican activists who had been delegates to recent Republican conventions. The poll was restricted to previous GOP convention delegates.
