Perhaps you are right but the truth is the truth and if it’s actually documented then it ought to be made public and it’s contents hammered home at every opportunity.

..The Democrats, although not usually reluctant to publicize America’s blunders in Iraq, also have no appetite for the issue. Even though they were right that there were no CW and BW inside Iraq when the war began,..

Nice twist. So now the Democrats are still partially right because there was no CW or BW at the start of the war. This is disingenuous. The reason there was no large stockpiles of Chemical WMD in Iraq at the start of the war is because the Russians moved what remained to Syria just before the war began. The author admits that and also details how the Russians told Saddam that his Chemical and Biological WMD would be useless against the American and British forces. They apparently told Saddam that since it was useless, he should not keep it in the country because it would legitimize a justification for the war. So the bottom line is if the war did not occur, the stuff would have still been within Iraq. The war or invasion forced it out. So in the case of Chemical and Biological WMD, the Democrats still claim to be right because they were wrong. In the case of Nuclear WMD, as the author proves, they were just flat out wrong.

Thank you very much for the ping. After my reading of hundreds of Iraqis documents, I came to the conclusion that Saddam regime opted to make the precursors required to make WMD instead of the final products and for two main reasons. First the precursors required to make WMD (chemical weapons in particular) are called dual use material i.e it can be used for civilian and military purpose so Saddam regime can easily fool the weapon inspectors by telling them that they are for civilian use. Second the precursors have longer shelf life than the final product and it only require few days to make a final chemical weapon product from the precursors.

I have seen three documents that I did not publish for security reasons talking about specific locations with names of towns where the precursors for chemical weapons and its equipments may be buried. The documents talk about find a site burial for "chemical wastes" and the documents span from 1999-2003 talking about the same subject and involving Saddam Hussein himself. That raised my great suspicion that those are not "chemical waste burial site" but more of burial site for more important chemical materials such as the precursors to chemical weapons. First why is Saddam Hussein himself was involved in these discussions, second where did the Iraqis buried their chemical waste materials before? It make no sense that they did not have a place to bury their chemical waste materials before 1999!.

I wanted to post a link to your translation threads, but couldn’t find one. If you have a list, maybe you could add it to the thread for reference, or add a unique keyword like “jveritastranslations” that could be searched. That the vast majority of these docs haven’t been translated, and that those that have haven’t been disseminated is sad.

This world seems to be heading into James Bond scenarios where loonies with nukes want to take over the world.

Wow.

Its worth reading the whole thing folks. You probably already know 90% of this, but this fills it all in and ties it together.

And it was written by a democrat (who admits having trouble giving Bush credit)

I, for one, had always wondered why WMD weren’t used (I had suspicions). The following confirmed my main theory:

“According to US and British intelligence, a pair of retired Russian generals was sent to Iraq to deliver the bad news to Saddam. At the very end of 2002, the Russians persuaded a reluctant Saddam that CW and BW, while useful in massacring civilians, would have no impact on the well-equipped American and British forces. Leaving the weapons stockpile lying around would only confirm to the world that the Coalition had been justified in invading Iraq”

I do not recall the Russians being identified but I do recall we chased some all the way to Syria.

This world seems to be heading into James Bond scenarios where loonies with nukes want to take over the world.

I see it slightly different... the elitist I will call them the French Revolutionists types, are willing to pass on to loonies nukes to fear the rest of US into submission of their worldly dominion. I never hear it being the Clintons handed out means and methods for nukes, when in fact they did adopt N.Korea off Yeltsin's hands and gave them nukes. Seems like it was a Soviet/Russian - Clintons concerted effort to assist Iran.

Old Saddam most likely was next in line under an algore presidency.... but we Americans keep getting fed manufactured polled made news.

“I don’t believe Israel Bombed Syria, or that somehow the Israelis were able to just turn off the most sophisticated anti aircraft systems that money can buy.”

You don’t need to turn them off; you just evade, confuse, and overwhelm them.........

They still would have been detected if evaded, confused, or overwhelmed. It's much more sophisticated than that. Most likely the radar and tracking system was spoofed which would show things that are not there, and not show things that are there.

“And I don’t think the Israelis needed American stealth bombers to take out Syria’s air defense, nor that we could keep such an operation secret for long. The Israelis were probably using an Electromagnetic Pulse Weapon. According to Syria their equipment just went dead right before the Israelis flew overhead.”

An EMP pulse would permanently disable any electronics within the ‘blast radius.’

Radio jamming is good enough! Israel has a huge domestic defense electronics industry.

HD, if you think Israel did this all alone in this day and age, you are most likely mistaken.

I am not convinved we used strike aircraft, but I would not be surprised to hear we were in the air over there, especially since we have so much military operating across the border right now.

The truth is only the truth if someone knows it....

The universal truth is that we lost the Vietnam war. Never mind that we won the battles. Our purpose was to prevent the north from taking over the south, which we accomplished completely until the enemy was decimated to the point they surrendered and agreed to the peace treaty which lasted long enough for us to leave and our congress to pass bill preventing our return.... Then the North invaded and took over the south after we were gone and prevented from returning. The truth has been drummed into everyone so soundly It’s nearly impossible to find anyone who knows what really happened....

Why should Saddam’s WMDs be any different? I feel like I’m in an X-files episode....”The truth is out there...”

The Chinese connection in this story is another disturbing fact that since the late 90’s they have been waging assymetrical warfare against us. Al Queda is the tail of the dragon. PRC generals were very vocal about declaring the USA as enemy #1 until they were told to be silent in the last couple of years. Just like Imperial Japan’s generals before WWII while diplomats were sitting in Washington talking about trade agreements and minor disagreements. The Chinese seemed to have learned from history.

I believe we will see China head into recession in 2009 along with the USA. When they do, they will likely cut off food aid to North Korea and I believe it will only be a matter of time before we will see Kim Jong attack South Korea. This event would be the first major flashpoint of WWIII. Any thoughts on countering China’s ambitions?
