From the article I linked to:
It is not known who filed the complaint against her.My guess would be a jealous friend of the boy.

Does anyone else notice that for the most part, the media is silent on the sexual abuse of children by public school teachers? The public schools are their churches, and the teachers are, for the most part, infallible.

Gentlemen of the jury, have you reached a verdict?
Not sure yet, but this could end up in a hung jury.

Does anyone else notice that for the most part, the media is silent on the sexual abuse of children by public school teachers? Probably because most of these cases don't involve "children" at all. In our media-saturated culture, boys are more sexually knowledgeable at 14 than their grandfathers were at 21, and they are willing participants in nearly every one of these stories.

...boys are more sexually knowledgeable at 14 than their grandfathers were at 21...Do you really think that boys growing up in an agrarian society 100 years ago knew less about animal husbandry than do the boys of today?
I don't know why this seems to be happening more (boys with female teachers). Or, maybe we are just hearing about it more.

Let's rephrase that.
Today, boys are more sexually knowledgeable about human females at 14 than their grandfathers were at 21.

Today, boys are more sexually knowledgeable about human females at 14 than their grandfathers were at 21.Again, I must disagree. Most children grew up in homes that were probably one or two rooms 100 years ago. It wasn't like mom and dad were sneaking off into the barn, you know.
By the way, this pic
will be quite the turn on for a guy I know from Wisconsin.

Det. Sgt. Greg Knapton of Peel's Special Victims Unit said Calautti was charged because of her position of authority over a student. He described the sexual assault as being "minor" in that it involved an allegation of leg touching. "There is no suggestion any sexual intercourse took place. The other offences involve conversations between them in their residences.
"These are offences because she is in a position of authority and he can't consent because he's not 18."
