I still have roses blooming in November. I’m all for more warming.

“...the world is warming faster than predicted.”

Good. Maybe it won’t hit 22 below at my mountain getaway place this winter.

The headline could just as easily read “Global Warming Better Than Expected”.

It’s above zero now. It was -6 earlier and is +4 now. The sun is setting so that is probably about it for the day, weatherwise.

And I am supposed to believe that they can predict 20 year from now, when this caught them by surprise.

Every single year of my life, it has gotten warm in the spring in the northern hemisphere and in the fall in the southern hemisphere.

What they don't tell you is that most of the what little increase there is, comes in the Winter, extending the growing seasons, and giving those that need heat in the Winter a tiny break on the heating bills.

There is no noticeable increasing during the Summer averages.

Good, I could do with a little warming. I have been trying to keep the heat down in order to cut our propane bill and I am tired of freezing.

Maybe the 1 to 3 inches of SNOW predicted for tonight will turn to rain due to climatic warming.

A little vivisection is required:

“The report found if current trends continue the world’s temperature will rise approximately three degrees celsius by the end of this century, relative to pre-industrial temperatures - well above what are considered dangerous levels.”

There is absolutely nothing to support the predictions that temperatures will rise. Neither that they will fall. But the article itself says:

“The report, prepared by Dr Graeme Pearman, former head of the CSIRO’s atmospheric research unit, found temperatures and greenhouse pollution were rising faster than forecast by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).”

Therefore their last predictions were wrong by their admission (again). Weather is a major component of climate. One would think that if the computation model existed to predict these chaotic events that they would work for NEXT WEEK. They don’t, by demonstated proof, they don’t.

“The report also says that recent scientific work suggests the capacity for the land and oceans to absorb carbon dioxide emissions is declining.”

What work? Tell us, show us your findings. Why are Hansen’s codes for his models not published? In real science the researchers show their work.

“This science report shows that it is even more critical than previously thought that we act quickly to reduce greenhouse pollution and make the transition to a clean-energy economy.”

Why? It is 1 degree C? That is about 3 degrees F folks. Are they saying that the civilized world can’t adapt to a 3 degree change given one hundred years (assuming that there is validity to their predictions which there is not)?
