BAGHDAD, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- American forces have arrested five Iranians near Al-Khales town in Diyala province, northeast of Baghdad, on Monday, an Iraqi security source said.
The source, requesting anonymity, told KUNA the US troops, accompanied by support Iraqi forces, arrested the five Iranians after they made sure they entered Iraqi without passports thus illegally.
The source did not elaborate, but US and Iraqi forces are frequently arresting Iranians entering the Iraqi territories illegally claiming they wanted to visit the shrines of the Shiites.
Diyala is near the Iranian borders.

Any chance we can hire some “support Iraqi Forces” to patrol our borders?

One of these days it may become casus belli, which will avoid trying to use nuclear WMD development issues and resulting UN charades as a pretext to end Iran's belligerence and her regime.

I guess Al-Khales isn’t a sanctuary city. I’m surprised none of these Shiite towns have designated themselves sanctuary cities for Iranian illegal aliens.

We have to make sure they’re not Iranian govt agents. They could be defectors or guys looking for work. Escaping from Iran is kind of like escaping from North Korea. If these guys don’t work for the Iranian govt, turning them over to Iran is signing their death sentence.
We should chip them and monitor there whereabouts whatever we do.

“they entered Iraqi without passports thus illegally.”
So if they had a passport it would of been ok to enter an Iraqi?
