I hate wasting this much press time on Ron Paul. But the Paul campaign is becoming a real threat to the Republican primary process and if allowed to continue, he will take votes away from the most conservative Republican candidates in the party, not the most liberal. This is bad for the party and the country.
(snip)
So, how Republican is Republican candidate Ron Paul?
If hes funded largely by anti-war leftists, from Democrat stronghold districts and counting on Democrats, Libertarians and members of the Green Party to win the Republican nomination, not very

I had gone out for a while and enjoyed reading your great posts on this thread on my return.
It was about time we had another 600+ post thread here on Dr. Paul. It’s increasingly rare that other candidate threads can break one hundred posts.
ron paul IS a RINO.
And I’m fully capable of separating Republican from Conservative.
And based on what I have seen either on here or elsewhere, ron paul does not have the Conservative base.
The Conservative base does not go around blaming our country for 9/11.
The Conservative base does not make the claim that we’re in Iraq under false pretenses (as claimed on paul’s own presidential website).
A true Conservative does not fill up his plate with $400 million dollars worth of pork to fund projects that either A.) Should have been funded by the state or local government OR B.) Should have been funded by private organizations.
And that’s using paul’s own reasoning.
Yeah he votes against appropriation bills that’s loaded with pork but he seems that it’s OK for federal tax money to go into paying for the renovation of a long since out of business movie theater. Or renovation of a public transportation line in Galveston.
Barack Obama's Supporters Emulate Ron Paul's
Obama is trying to copy what Paul did.
The general duties of "preventing harm and stopping threats" are the jurisdiction of the States. The States had a list of very specific things they wanted a national government to handle collectively, on their behalf. The created and authorized tht government to peform those functions. Among them was not a blanket power to "prevent harm and stop threats".
interesting... we shall see how they do, and we shall see how we do on Dec 16th!

When he snorts his way to the front door of the Ron Paul campaign office does the guy start posting multiple stupid threads at FR?
Yes, I think that is what really frustrates the supporters of the other candidates, they do not generate any real enthusiasm.
Ron Paul does because he is advocating a return to the Constitution and an aggressive attack against the Warfare-Welfare State.
Not words, but actions.
The U.S. will be stronger economically having returned to the Gold standard, and abolished the Fed, and ending Social Security and foreign aid.
it will have regained its sovereignty by getting out of the UN and getting control of its borders and going after those who are here illegally.
All Federal gun laws revoked.
Pilots allowed to carry weapons on planes.
Only pro-life judges will be appointed and the issue returned to the States.
An amendment put forth to end the 19th Amendment, the personal income tax.
Islamic fundamentalists will find themselves overwhelmed with the new wave of pro-Americanism that sweeps the globe.
Not a bad start for his first term.
And what will happen if your candidate (whoever that is) wins?
Correction-that would be the 16th amendment.
I know it wasn’t directed towards me but...

Fantasy. 5 percent support does not a Republican nominee make.
We just saw a showdown with congress where they voted to over-ride a Bush veto for a pork laden spending bill.
You seem to think even if by a miracle RP is elected, everything will go his way. Politicians of both parties will block most everything you say he will accomplish in his first term.
Who will stand by him in the congress? Who will not vote to override a veto? Where will the votes of support come from? How many Republicans have endorsed his presidential run?
I used to be a Libertarian when I was young, idealistic, foolish and stupid. Don’t get me wrong, I still support many Libertarian views, but the Libertarian party is toast when it has no room for people such as Neal Boortz.
Ron Paul’s foundation of his whole presidential run is based on a lie when he is a Libertarian and running as a Republican.
Thank you, SGX.Lormand, you have serious issues. I suggest you remove yourself from the kitchen if you find the heat not to your liking. Either that, or quit sucking so much at writing song parodies.
Poor answer
