The rapid escalation of the U.S. anti-immigration hysteria fueled by ratings-hungry cable-television hotheads and leading Republican presidential hopefuls is a dangerous trend: It may lead to a Hispanic intifada that may rock this nation in the not-so-distant future.

Sigh… So much BS, so little time…

From the article:

The rapid escalation of the U.S. anti-immigration hysteria -- fueled by ratings-hungry cable-television hotheads and leading Republican presidential hopefuls --

First, while it may be a dangerous trend, it not fueled by ratings-hungry cable-television hotheads and leading Republican presidential hopefuls -- Rather is fueled by people breaking the immigration laws of a sovereign nation that is entitled to set its own policies for who may and may not cross its borders.

…is a dangerous trend: It may lead to a Hispanic intifada that may rock this nation in the not-so-distant future

The only way it would rock this nation is if law enforcement fails to do their sworn duty and uphold the US Constitution and the duly passed laws of the land.

We are creating an underclass of people who won't leave this country and, realistically, can't be deported.

First, we (the law abiding citizens of this republic) did not create, and are not creating, the problem. It was created by those individuals who would flaunt the law and demand that their crimes be not only, ignored, but rewarded. As far as not being able to deport the scofflaws, the obvious question is: Why not?. There are no obstacles other than political will. By simply diverting the resources currently being spent on providing public services to these criminals, there would be plenty of money to accomplish the task. Furthermore, based upon the overwhelming public sentiment, it would seem that the “legal” voters have such a will. All that is required would be to cut the political panders out of the publicity loop.

They and their children are living with no prospect of earning a legal status, no matter how hard they work for it.

This assertion is certainly not true. All that is required is that these illegal aliens return to the country of their origin and apply for “legal” immigration just like any other law abiding person would.

Leaving aside the fact that nearly half of the undocumented immigrants came to this country legally, and overstayed their visas, their non-compliance with immigration rules should not stigmatize them with the label of ``illegals.''

First, there is no documentation offered to back up the spurious claim that nearly half of the undocumented immigrants came to this country legally… Therefore, why should anyone believe this spurious claim? Second, why should not violating the law “stigmatize” those who violate it? Isn’t “violating the law” what creates a “rap sheet” and the term “ex-con?” Are these not “stigmatizing” individuals who have earned these distinctions through violating th law? Overstaying your visa is a violation of the law?

You may have violated a rule, but that should not make you an ''illegal'' person.

No, but violating immigration laws can, and does, make you an “illegal alien.”

You may have gotten a ticket for speeding, but that doesn't make you an ''illegal'' human being…

Such a speeding ticket does make you subject to penalties under law, up to, potentially losing your privilege to drive. Similarly, violating immigration laws should make you subject to penalties under law, up to losing your privilege to remain in the country.

…even if the potential harm of your reckless driving is much greater than anything done by most of the hard-working undocumented immigrants in this country.

Is the potential harm of your reckless driving greater than that posed by Latino gangs and drug smugglers? Is the potential harm of your reckless driving greater than the harm of the closure of emergency rooms because the cost of providing medical services to illegal aliens drives them out of business?

Thank for the ping, but this thread is a rerun of one that went 300+ replies last week.

This is what the lberals are hoping for. The purpose of the article is to encourage violence, and blame it on the Right, just as the Brownshirts instigated riots and streetfights and blamed it on the Left.

It appears to me the are strong in numbers only in a very few large cities, DC being the main one. I don’t see how that will amount to a hill of beans in a nation wide “intifada”

A good tip off is that the article was printed in the Miami Herald on the 4th of this month.
Freepers are very good at finding and posting daily news, especially from metro areas.

“Don’t get something no one has parts for if things go real bad, M1-A The follow up rifle to the M1 Grand, Lots of spare parts everywhere, Cheap AP ammo around, little heavy compared to the AR but much more devistating, shoots the same ammo that can go into one of my varmit rifles, 20 and 30 round mags everywhere, with a small chamber adapter the ammo can be shot in any 30-06, pretty hard to beat, survival is sometimes a messy thing.”

I hear you, I should get one as a backup... :-)

After all, nothing wrong with a time-tested design! (Not to mention readily available ammo.)

They didn’t erupt in their home countries, so they are unlikely to erupt here in any meaningful way, for the same reasons they came. They like the money, the freebies and the freedom they have.

Those that do will only succeed in being deported.

Most guns are reliable enough to shoot up all the ammo most people have, but I always have two identical guns of my favorite calibers for in very bad times backup parts, what amuses me is most people have no idea how fast a few boxes of ammo will disappear in a real fire fight. If you don’t have at least a thousand rounds of ammo per caliber and you ever are in a real bad place you and yours lives will be measured in minutes. Don’t forget the cleaning kits!!!! A dirty gun will get you killed. Survival is sometimes a very messy thing.

At Masada there were 1,000 non-combatant men, women and children...just regular civilians, and not “tough, never surrender Israeli soldiers”

Using the type of kosher death visited upon animals ...a certain way of quickly slitting the throat...they killed each other until a few hardy souls committed suicide at the end...

When the Roman soldiers finally arrived at the tyop of the mountain, there were only dead bodies laid out on their beds as though asleep in all the houses to conquer...women dressed in their best clothes and jewelry, children neatly dressed, Levitical priests in their robes...

It was one of the greatest points in Hebrew history...The Romans admitted defeat...

I’ve been to Masada...They had enough water in their cisterns to have held out indefinitely, animals for meat and vegetable gardens...

If the Romans had not built a dirt and stone slope, they would never have got to the top..

It took the Romans weeks to build the slope...the remains of which can still be distinguished....during that time the Hebrews had plenty of time to discuss and settle in their minds that mass suicide was the only way they could foil the enemy and cheat the Roman soldiers of the spoils of war in slaves, wholesale rape, and brutal deaths and torture...

The Romans admitted defeat and were demoralized due to the events at Masada....

Masada might be a bad choice for the nanme of a weapon, but not because there is no honor or strength in the name...but rather that Masada stands for the determination or ordinary people to defeat overwhelming numbers of an enemy by cheating them of certain victory in any way left to the defenders ...

At the moment, the numbers of illegal aliens is not overwhelming...and we are not at Masada-forced decisions yet...

But the threat is real...the illegal aliens have already rioted repeatedly in our streets starting in April, 2006...violence against American citizens has been spotty, but at any moment wholesale attacks could occur...

Illegal aliens may refuse to speak our language or adhere to our laws, but they readily use our technology...tech messages and verbal communication by cellphones brought teeming thousands to the streets of Chicago and LA for their illegal “marches”

Those same cellphones and Spanish media can gather the illegal aliens for wholesale violence and destruction within a few hours....is a Kristallnacht of immense proportions against American citizens, in our future?

The illegal aliens are not the innocent under-dogs...the American citizens are the ones who are being abused and victimized..

Using threats and cute phrases like “we are creating an underclass of people”, “Hispanic intifada”, “anti-immigration hysteria”, and “ratings-hungry cable-television hotheads” does not improved relations between the illegal aliens and the American citizens ... but instead glaringly illustrates the gull and offensiveness of the illegal aliens and their apologists..

If we are going to have a race war, better to do it while the advantage is on our side. This BS has got to stop—we can’t have people breaking our laws then threating a “race war” when we start (however tentatively) to enforce those laws. Frankly, I think they would STFU if we ever REALLY started to enforce the law. That would mean mass arrests at these Illegal Immigrant rallies.

“That means that Mexico will be depopulated.....”
——I’ve always said that part of the reason that “official Mexico” is so behind this invasion, so ,uh, shall we say, “negligent” about controlling it on their end, is that it helps rid the country of another social issue to deal with , in its chronic poverty, lack of opportunity, high “unemployment”. Over time, the loss of tens of millions of Mexicans that would be populating Mexico, WILL ONLY TEND TO MAKE MEXICO THAT MUCH MORE CORRUPT. IT WILL BECOME A SUI GENERIS OLIGARCHY, probably having more in common with Saudi Arabia than any other place in our hemisphere.
