Rudy Giuliani's Al Qaeda Connection?
Radar Online ^ | 08 Nov 2007 | Nick Curran

Posted on 11/09/2007 11:53:53 AM PST by BGHater

How much exactly would it cost to get Rudy Giuliani to holster his overdone 9/11 sanctimony? The government for the tiny Persian Gulf nation of Qatar might have a good idea.

Following earlier reports that Giuliani was still getting paid by the consulting firm he created, Mary Jacoby of the Wall Street Journal sheds light on some potentially problematic sources of Giuliani's private income. Chief among them is Qatar, the U.S. ally that paid Giuliani Partners for "security advice" regarding their petroleum facilities. The article uncovers a "potential political pitfall" for Giuliani's candidacy and image given Qatar's spotty record in fighting Al Qaeda, but it stops short of explicitly addressing an aspect of the business arrangement that could dog Giuliani during his quest for the presidency.

Specifically, the ostensible chief consumer of Giuliani's security advice in this case would be Qatar's internal security ministry—currently headed by a known Al Qaeda associate.

As Radar reported earlier this year, Qatar Interior Minister Abdullah bin Khalid Al-Thani has long had ties to top Al Qaeda operatives including Osama Bin Laden, and is believed by many U.S. officials to have personally arranged the narrow escape of Al Qaeda big-wig Khalid Sheikh Mohammed from U.S. agents in 1996, thereby ensuring his freedom to mastermind the 9/11 attacks.

Qatar's stability and the petroleum facilities Giuliani's firm helped protect are vital to American interests. But Giuliani's incessant 9/11 know-it-all-ism, his refusal to release specifics of the case, and his decision to remain on the firm's payroll while running for president make the whole deal fair game for speculation. -Snip-

Rooty has no anti-terror credentials. Speaking of that....he has no conservative credentials either....adding to that, he has a personal life that is abhorrent. I can't even come up with a reason he is qualified.

I don't know if I would get too excited about this just yet. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a lot of Halliburton and Dick Cheney connections to unsavoy people and regimes. International relations and international business create a lot of unusual coalitions.

Maybe there is a fire under this smoke but probably not.

What police department, under what Mayor, at the budget approved by the Mayor, has police officers all over the world linking with and working with local intel services?
Who did that?
Do you know of any other candidate that has a world wide security company?
No, I didn’t think so.

Anyways, I was posting for the nancys that tried to palm off, knowingly that Qatar was some sort of nest of vipers. When in fact every agency in the WOT works out of, and with the support of Qatar.

I don’t know any true Scots who actually refer to kilts as “dresses.”

Regardless of Rudy, this is an anti Qatar smear, which as I said is bought hook line and sinker by the boobs here. But people do like groups.

Rudys does have creds, as it was his city that got hit. Fact.
He isn’t a conservative. But this isn’t the conservative election, a conservative isn’t going to win the party, nor the nomination. Liberal Republicans, and conservative Republicans have destroyed the word conservative. It is associated with big government and spending and factually, more spending that Democrats. Sorry.

He is qualified under the a document called the Constitution. Maybe you have heard of it.

What, exactly are those anti-terror creds?

I'm guessing it is the simply brilliant decision to put the city's emergency command center smack dab at the center of a known terrorist target, meaning that the first thing they had to do on 9/11 was evacuate the emergency command center....

Other than have his picture taken a whole lot, that's about the only terrorism-related thing Rudy's really done.

I don’t know literate people that refer to robes as dresses. Pericles wore a robe, so to Jesus.

Actually a robe in the ME climate is a practical adaption to the heat and UVs of the climate.

But Rudy never kissed the wife of a well-known terrorist.

It was put there because that is where the Feds were centered, including the ever clueless CIA.

The second statement is fact, the first is only your opinion.

He is qualified under the a document called the Constitution. Maybe you have heard of it.

He's qualified in the same way that Bill Clinton was, meaning they conform to the basic criteria under the Constitution (as does a fair percentage of the nation's population). Doesn't make either of them fit to hold the office.

I don't know any literate people who can't readily discern the easy, fundamental difference between "to" and "too." Troll.

Wow. Nice spin, but demonstrably untrue.

The emergency command center was put there because Rudy wanted it put there, over the objections of at least one of his advisors (that we know of for sure).

Even Rudy admits that it was his call, though he has tried to pass it off as bad advice from that same advisor.

His city getting hit seems to destroy any type of anti terror creds he could have. Not to mention the fact that he was so arrogant as to leave the command center in the Trade Center after he knew it could be attacked once again.

Perhaps you need to find a liberal site to visit. Last I heard JR has made this a site for grass roots conservatism.

You want a non conservative election? Get prepped for a non conservative turnout, and a GOP loss.

Liberals, abortionists, gay activists, terrorists, thugs and mobsters. He surrounds himself with some pretty creepy people. And he’ll bring them all into his administration should he get elected. But at least his henchmen will bring down crime. /sarc

“I can’t even come up with a reason he is qualified.”

Well, none of the other candidates (including Dennis the Mennis) are cross-dressing can-can dancers!

She’s got legs, she knows how to use them.
She never begs, she knows how to choose them.
She’s got a dime, all of the time,
stays out at night, movin’ through time.
Oh, I want her, said, I got to have her,
the girl is alright, she’s alright.
