Ron Paul Political Report
Volume I Number 1
Page 3
In Congress today, unquestlonlng support for Israel is true bipartisan foreign policy. Conservative Senator Jesse Helms (R-Nc) was once a critic of aid to Israel. In 1983, the Israell lobby set out to forge an alliance between the evangelical right and Jews and knew Helms would be the best place to start. As a result, in 1984 Israeli PACs and associated wealthy buslnessmen helped bankroll Helms' reelection. campaign. Once Helms was back in office, he was flown to Israel. At the Wailing wall, Helms described the revelatlon that God wanted foreign aid to Israel. This also, not coincidentally, made him acceptable as minority leader of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
“”At the Wailing wall, Helms described the revelatlon that God wanted foreign aid to Israel.””
More likely the fruitful visits from the Lockheed lobbyists.

You might be more effective if you spread these out.
Six threads in an hour, and another fake link.
Jesse Helms is so...I don’t know...Madeleine Allbright relevant.

I would need to see documentation that the Israel Lobby bankrolled Helms’ campaign in 1984. My recollection is just the opposite. They supported his opponent.
You have me all wrong, friend.
The Jew haters must love him. A very scary man, Ron Paul!
Not a fake link. These letters are not on the internet is all. I just put freerepublic.com in the link space.
Jesse Helms had the best voting record and the most maverick record of any senator of the last 30 years. He was “Senator No” and the most criticized (by the liberal press) anti-spending senator on the Hill. There have been some great ones in the House and Senate: Phil Crane, Steve Symms, Larry McDonald, but Helms was second to no one.
The fact that Ron Paul would say anything negative about Helms at this point shows us something about the little congressman.
With Pat Bucannan on the ticket, you’d have the 2008 dream team.
We have no problem with these posts, but to prevent confusion and complaints, please leave the link space blank.
Ron Paul is a crank candidate.
It’s curious that Ron Paul (and most other libertarians) constantly criticize U.S. aid to Israel but rarely if ever make a peep about the billions of aid we give to Egypt, Pakistan, the Palestinians, etc.
Ron Paul is not fit to lick Jesse’s boots.
I suppose the Tibetans paid off Jesse too?
God bless one of the best conservatives to ever serve in the US Senate.
“...God bless one of the best conservatives to ever serve in the US Senate.”
Worth repeating !!! Helms was one of the best if not the best.
Aye aye sir. Will do and thanks.
