Robertson endorses Giuliani, Weyrich endorses Romney, Dobson says stop the madness, vote third party

Robertson endorses Giuliani, Weyrich endorses Romney, Dobson says stop the madness, vote third party. Limbaugh sits on the sidelines but appears to be willing to accept the worst without so much as a whimper. This is what happens when a conservative party loses its way. Conservatism takes a back seat to liberalism. Conservative leaders start endorsing pro-abort liberals and RINOs because they're "electable." Conservatives flee to third parties or stay home in disgust. The party self-destructs.

Looking at it another way, two out of three endorsing conservative leaders say NO to the abortionist liberal Rudy Giuliani. There must be a ray of light in there somewhere.

And Robertson endorsed Rudy! I suspect that will actually backfire on him since the RINOs don’t like Robertson.

Dobson is just playing primary politics, but on the off chance that he is serious, than he's a fool. He'll do more damage to his own cause than he ever did good if he marshals support for a 3rd party. He is not going to like Hillary Clinton’s appointments to the Supreme Court.

You optimism is inspiring.

The good thing, it seems no one is going to really listen to these guys now. From looking around and such it seems after all the years of passing around bags of silver, the bulk of conservatives realize the true value of their opinion...

Dobson's coming across as a cranky child lately. His third party ravings are really strange.

I though he had more to him than that.

I respect Dr. Dobson, but I see him as the Ross Perot of ‘08.

No, I don’t want a lukewarm conservative, but the last time a conservative went on a snit, we got eight years of Clinton. If it happens again, we’ll have. . .

I predict Ken Phelps will endorse Rudy next. He’s got about as much credibility with me as Robertson does.

If Dobson is really endorsing a third-party candidate (which will be Ron Paul), he may be more than just a fool.

Hopefully this primary doesn’t divide us...as a Rudy’s thumbs up would. We need to support our appropriate conservative politicians (Fred or Duncan), and have the sanity that you show Jim.

Step forward...not backwards.

The “leaders” of the social conservative movement are falling apart on us. Maybe it’s time for new leaders?

Pat Robertson: Here at the 600 Club we need your money to spread the word of Jesus and build more advanced deflector shields for our galactic cruiser. Sally Struthers has a Tydirium Junker, which is the favorite ship of the Hutts, and she has trapped our new CBC ship in a positronic tractor beam. So we’re gonna need an ionic tractor disrupter. Now, not a regular ionic tractor disrupter, but a negative tractor disrupter to spread the word of Jesus. - South Park - Starvin’ Marvin Ep

If Dobson doesn't like Fred Thompson's Federalism (even though he has a 100% pro-life voting record) then I doubt he would go to Paul who also preaches Federalism on the issue but has actually voted against limiting abortions on several occasions. That is, unless he has drunk the koolaid.

How many so called leaders are only leaders because of narcissism?

sign of the times Jim... the planet is turning left. people are just more liberal than they used to be.

I personally believe this is just part of God's plan for Christ's return!

whether you believe that or not, everyone has to come to the conclusion that conservatives are in big trouble...

If this continues and the al-Qaeda members are elected then all of the so called American Nation will be converted to Islam.

If someone votes third party and allows al-Qaeda to be elected then I hope that they are first to go so I can cheer before al-Qaeda takes me away for loss of head.

Wouldn’t it be cool if Fred made a short video about this ‘dancing with the liberal devils’? I would love to see him pull that cigar out and turn into the camera, to say something like ‘I don’t preach and don’t expect to be called to preach, especially to preach a gospel of compromise yourselves right out of existence. What the leaders of particular churches think of a candidate is not what determines elections, it’s what the American people conclude that counts for their votes.’

It broke my heart to see Paul Weyrich endorse Romney. I’ve met Paul - he used to be that when he opined on something, you could have faith it was from the heart. Back when his TV network NET (National Empowerment Television) was broadcast on C-band satellite, I was a faithful viewer and called in often.

But this is what happens when you have a think tank - or whatever Free Congress is - with a payroll. You wind up compromising your principles for money.

This is the same thing Grover Norquist did several years ago. Whenever he took money from the Wahabbi Lobby, his credibility among conservatives went to hell. And he was another who used to be a friend of mine.

Sigh. Are there no heroes left?

I think Dobby is off the rails.

The worst Pubbie is better than the best DIM. And a DIM is what we will get (good or bad) with a third party splitting the ticket (Other than Nader and the Dims, that is).
