Did you all see the new FR Poll?
(11/6) Which one of the following candidates should pro-life conservatives rally behind to defeat the liberal abortionists Hillary and Giuliani?
Mike Huckabee
Duncan Hunter
John McCain
Mitt Romney
Tom Tancredo
Fred Thompson
I don't like to pee on the parade here, but the Republican Assemblies crowd usually lends their support to people who
a) give the national RA leadership gobs of money.
b) vote for candidates who couldn't beat the late, great Paul Tibbets if they held an election for Mayor of Hiroshima.
These are the kind of people who think that Alan Keyes could actually win an election for dogcatcher.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
I hate a group like this:
Our Objectives
To recruit, educate, train and motivate individuals to run for public office who are irrevocably committed to uphold and fight for constitutional principles and the preservation of the Republic.
To increase Republican voter registration.
To promote conservatism in the tradition of the Founding Fathers.
To bring back to the Republican Party those who have been disaffected by the perception that the party has moved away from its core principles.
To watchdog elected officials and insure their adherence to conservative Republican principles.
To identify and oppose those individuals, groups and agendas that would, knowingly or otherwise, bring about the loss of our freedoms and the destruction of our Republic through the violation of the Constitution and the erosion of the traditional family or public morals.
To inform the public regarding correct principles relative to issues and the qualifications of candidates for public office.
To maintain the integrity of the Republican Party platform based on correct moral and constitutional principles. Then to use the platform as a criterion of accountability for elected officials.
>The more Thompson performs poorly, the better Hunter looks at the best hope of Conservatives.<
And Hunter doesn’t have to ask for a round of applause. He gets them for what he says, and how he says it; for what he does and how he does it! GO DUNCAN HUNTER!
>What about Hunter/Condi?<
>>I’ll lose all respect for him if he picks her. No way!<<
Condi is part of the globalist Establishment. We want no more Clintons, no more Bushes, and no more globalist Establishment!
Well, that would be nice. I think Hunter has the better credentials as a conservative.
The Iowa debate is leaving out Hunter and Tancredo!

The Iowa Republican Party and Fox News Channel announced today plans for a Dec. 4 debate of the GOP presidential campaigns in Des Moines.
The Tuesday evening event is scheduled for Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines and comes as the race to the Jan. 3 caucuses enters its final month.
It was unclear who would attend, although only those candidates who had support of at least 5 percent of those surveyed in recent national polls or The Des Moines Registers Iowa Poll are invited, Iowa GOP officials said.
That would include former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Arizona Sen. John McCain, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson.
It could leave out U.S. Reps. Duncan Hunter of California and Tom Tancredo of Colorado.
I understand from the Media with Conscience website (http://mwcnews.net/content/view/17897&Itemid=1) that you are considering leaving out Representative Duncan Hunter from the debate.
So, the heads of the Iowa (conservative?) GOP are going to leave out one of the actual conservatives that is in contention for the candidacy?
Im sorry, but could you show me the logic behind letting a liberal, so called Republican, like Rudy Giuliani remain in the debate and showing a conservative Republican, like Duncan Hunter, the door.
If you are really conservatives you will keep a CONSERVATIVE viewpoint in the debates.
Sincerely,

“Not in my book. I’m very disappointed in Condi’s performance as Secy of State particularly regarding Israel.”
You and me too. AND on some crutial social issues as well!
So is Thompson. He is a member of the other CFR, council on foreign relations. Seems more and more that council is all about globalization.
