Kerry’s critics swing back
The Patriot Ledger ^ | Nov 6, 2007 | Tom Benner

Posted on 11/06/2007 6:38:16 PM PST by Phil Harmonic

BOSTON - A liar. A traitor. Hanoi John.

U.S. Sen. John Kerry’s comments on Monday regarding a possible future bid for the presidency, and his arming up against the group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, are reopening old wounds from the Vietnam War and the 2004 presidential race.

``He’s a liar,'' said J. Craig Herman of Pahoa, Hawaii, a former U.S. naval officer and registered Republican. ``Real heroes and real Navy officers do not not waltz around with a ... camera taking pictures of themselves on duty.''

While some veterans question Kerry’s military decorations and fault his subsequent actions as a anti-Vietnam War protester, other others say they just never warmed to the Massachusetts Democrat’s personal style.

``There’s something weasely about him,'' said Elliot Olson, a self-described independent voter from Minneapolis. ``You can compare him to Bill Clinton, but with Clinton you know what you’re getting.''

The 63-year-old Kerry said Monday that he might run for president again, perhaps in 2012. He also said he has compiled a dossier on his critics at Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group that dogged Kerry in the 2004 race.

The comments, reprinted on political blogs including drudgereport.com, opinionjournal.com and lucianne.com, prompted hundreds of e-mails critical of the Vietnam veteran turned war protestor turned politician.

Kerry’s staff noted his incomplete military records were posted on his campaign web site in 2004 as well on the following site: http://news.findlaw.com/legalnews/lit/election2004/docs.html

Fixed as well.

By the way, just where is the missing page 1 of Joseph Streuli's fitness report on Kerry?

The form I’m talking about is 180 form to release his service records, we all got our dd214’s handed to us on the way out.

Hanoi John has gotten more than one DD214. The oldest DD214 that Hanoi has shown is one that Jimmuh Carter "upgraded". His original DD214 is speculated to be other than honorable.

What the heck, there’s nothing but criminals, traitors and liars running as Democratic party candidates for POTUS. One more won’t change anything. Maybe they can draft Al too. LoL.

No, let him run for the Senate again. I think we have a chance to beat him if the Dems don’t put up somebody else.

If what we believe about his discharge is confirmed and made widely known, I, too, think the Massachusetts moonbats would send him packing.

Let's see:

Clinton was a woman-using, military-loathing sociopathic socialist liar with no conscience and a willingness to destroy anyone who got in his way.

Yeah, I can see a real difference between Clinton and Kerry. Kerry was willing to let his enemies keep breathing.

You can bet the “dossier” Kerry compiled was on the personal lives of the Swiftvets, which is what he did when he tried to get back at them in 2004. He’s a simpleton and a slime ball.

Re “I’ll bet the SBV4T have compiled more materials as well.”

As a researcher on the book “Unfit for Command”, I can say from my own work that we did not use all the information obtained about Kerry and his Vietnam service and role in anti-Vietnam protests, for several reasons.

1. We were on a very tight research/editing deadline so much more information was found after the June 30th, 2004 deadline, and research is still continuing on by a group of historians to track down leads and documents which were known to have existed at one time.

2. Some documents were destroyed in Vietnam as part of routine housecleaning procedure. I would have loved to have found them at the National Archives but they never made it out of Nam. No evil intend; just the clutter of war.

3. Other documents may still exist but they were not properly catalogued for archival saving. They may still show up. I got a piece of one, but could not find sequential reports, etc. There are large gaps in regular document collections for relevant time periods, again a reflection that not everything made it to the U.S. (or Sandy Burgler got to them first).

4. Kerry only released some of his military records to three friendly newspapers/journalists, not all the media as he promised in Jan. 2006. His journals will show him to be a liar as one excerpt about his Special Forces-type hat revealed in a puff piece on him in the Wash. Post.

5. The Wash. Post killed a potentially devastating story on Kerry and the Bay Hap River incident. Let’s say that some of his supporters have been less than truthful.

6. His Joseph Goebbels-like spokesman David Wade has been the key coverup man for him. One day someone might create a list of his lies about the Swifties (I’m not one, but was a Vietnam journalist) as juxtaposed to the truth.

7. No one has been able to find out about Kerry’s two or three trips to Paris to meet with the VC and No. Vietnamese, thought bits and pieces have been found, and they could, if fleshed out, subject Kerry to charges of “treason” and “aiding the enemy.”

Even if Kerry were put under oath (no way with the Democrats in control of Congress), he would either take the 5th about his communist contacts, or would lie.

Time is his protector on this issue, an issue which could put him out of Congress if what a number of us suspect is true, is true. After having worked on internal security issues and communist front operations for over 40 years, I and others know what to look for in terms of a pattern of operational behavior, and Kerry fits it to a “T”.

No one has done a full expose’ on Kerry’s involvement in supporting the Marxist Sandinistas in Nicaragua in the 1980’s, other than some brief items in Stephen Powell’s “Covert Cadre” book and some smaller workers by Michael Waller, Lyn Boucher, and Alan Brownfeld for the Council for Inter-American Security.

No one has explored Kerry’s hiring communists and liars for his congressional committees and/or own staff. This is a landmine waiting to explode.

How about Kerry’s fundraising letter for the communists in El Salvador, complete with his picture on it?

And the beat goes on. Kerry has more skeletons in his closet than a graveyard and he will try to squash anyone who exposes him.

Kerry has no honor, no morals, no conscience and he has proven this since Vietnam. Why should he stop now?

The reason Kerry (or is it CARY) didn’t sue any of the Swiftboat Vets. is because if he had done so, he would have had to testify under oath about his actions and would have been proven a liar in a court of law.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. My point is that the DD-214 that Kerry displays is NOT the one he got on the way out. The one he shows is a replacement version that was issued during the Carter administration -- long after his release from active duty and from any subsequent reserve obligation. What makes such timing especially interesting is that part of Carter's blanket amnesty to Vietnam draft dodgers provided for upgrades of many less than honorable discharges to honorable. Given that Kerry's treasonous public behavior -- especially during his protests in Europe -- occurred while he was still a reserve Navy officer, one wonders why he will only show us that substitute, Carter-era DD-214. What would the original form reveal?

“Ted screaming “Waterboarding” regarding Michael Mukasey today.
After drowning and killing Mary Jo Kopechne in 1968.
No one seems to see the irony!”

I heard that on Rush while flipping through radio stations.

And I can attest that Dr. Pepper burns alot when it comes out one’s nose. :D

“You know why RED SOX NATION is so Huge?
All of the smart people moved away!”

Yep, I’m one of the expats of the soviet socialist republic of massachusetts.

I got fed up with the likes of senators Lurch and Lush as well as marty meathead, and the other congresscritters including my cousin who actually started off fairly even keeled but is now just as looney as the rest of them.....He’s a write off IMO.

WOW! I am honored! I had assumed that the work had not stopped and that there are materials which have not yet been released. That's just smart baseball.

Regarding His Joseph Goebbels-like spokesman David Wade you can add the MSM as co-conspirators. There is no way they would cover any of your good points here so it is up to Patriots like you and the SBV4T to educate the American public that they have a real communist in their midst.

Thank You for your service to the country, we appreciate it.

Has anyone ever explained how the Senator was awarded the only Silver Star with a “V” device?

The working spin is that it was a clerk-typist error. YMMV.

T. Boone Pickens Stakes $1 Mil on the Swift Boats
By Ben Domenech

At tonight's American Spectator dinner in Washington, the venerable T. Boone Pickens apparently just staked $1 Million (yes, he's got the money) betting that no one - not even John Kerry and his magic hat - can prove anything the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth said in 2004 was false.

Media Matters, here's looking at you, kids.
