The obvious candidate for an answer is that Huma Abedin is an agent of Saudi Arabian intelligence [as were her parents before her].

Maybe I'm missing something. The original post says her father founded the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, for which her mother (in addition to being a professor) is presently the Director. I have no idea what that institute does, but, if her father founded it, that must have required at least some capital? Was he also a professor in addition to founding this institute? Like I said, maybe this "traveling chief of staff" is exactly what you say, a kept woman and/or a Saudi intel agent, I just can't come to that conclusion based on the data as presented. But, I'm glad you're still digging for the story.

Life insurance. Responsible people have at least 10 or 15 times their yearly salary in life insurance. Most people are literally worth more dead then alive.

The obvious answer is her parents are from Saudi and have money from their families. She may be an agent but it is not the only answer as to why college professors from Saudi might be richer than you expect. Lotsa money there.

Isn’t it wonderful that during these troubled times the Democratic party’s leading contender for the office of President of the United States has a Muslim whispering in her ear and advising her on a daily basis. Hopefully Hillary can keep her around if she wins the election to give advice on prosecuting the war on terror and how to handle Israel.
