Who’s moderate and who isn’t is beside the point. PC will ensure that illegals get their licenses because most politicians in NY (and elsewhere) are slaves to the constantly offended ethnic front groups.
If that were so, how come shamnesty and the recent "Dream Act" were shot down? Politicians pandering is nothing new, but when their base is in an uproar besides a bunch of moderates and independents are also against it, they figure out which side of the bread gets buttered.
