This is a big one folks. In a Brody File exclusive, we've found out that Paul Weyrich, the former co-founder of The Moral Majority has endorsed Mitt Romney for President. The Brody File has the press release. Read below:
Today, Paul Weyrich, Chairman and CEO of the Free Congress Research and Education Foundation, announced his support for Governor Mitt Romney and his campaign to be our country's next President. Paul Weyrich is one of the premier leaders in the conservative movement, having founded the Heritage Foundation and the American Legislative Exchange Council.
"As he travels across the country, Governor Romney has outlined a blueprint to build a stronger America rooted in our common conservative principles. With a clear conservative vision to move America forward, he will strengthen our economy, our military and our families. More importantly, he already has an exceptional record of putting conservative values to work. Because of his experience, vision and values, I am proud to support Governor Romney," said Paul Weyrich.
With today's announcement, Governor Romney said, "Paul Weyrich has put his stamp on the conservative movement in this country. It is an honor to have his support and counsel. Through our efforts, we can work to ensure that Washington always stands on the side of building stronger American families."

“We know these poeple are not in it for GOD but for money and power.”
Bingo.. we have a winner..
Now that is an answer to prayer. Conservatives unite! You will have to sacrifice fewer of your conservative principles, and less of your pride to support Mitt, than a Baptist Minister supporting a Mormon for President.
I'm absolutely certain that if Weyrich had endorsed Thompson, that you would have said the very same thing. /sarcasm
I’m tired of these compromises. I think I will support Hunter and keep my conscience.
The question was already answered:
Everyone who supports Romney is bought and paid for, duped, stupid, mistaken — The money shot from a Mittwitt.
Fred, who tells the truth even when it isn’t what some want to hear and willard who says whatever people want to hear. No comparison.

I really don't understand what he has or hasn't done to generate such hostility among certain elements. All things considered, I'd rank him behind Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter, but roughly even with Fred Thompson. Thompson seems to have a bit more conservative voting record, but he was representing a fairly conservative state unlike Mitt, who was governor of the most hopeless Lieberal state in the union.
I'm guessing that DeMint and Arpaio know what they're doing.
Arpaio endorsed Butch Napolitano for Governor in AZ. He’s no stranger to endorsing liberals.
Good one Mitt!
they are congressmen. they won’t get support even from FR as long as we have this “whatever it takes to win” or “anybody but Rudy” mentality. I think people are a little tired of Fred and Romney and are turning towards Huck. They won’t be happy with him either. why not get straight to the point and vote for what you wanted in the first place?
Romney Scores Major Endorsement - Paul Weyrich
MICHAEL REAGAN
The son of President Reagan wrote the following in Human Events:
Some Republicans insist that the only perfect candidate would be a clone of my Dad, Ronald Reagan. Aside from the fact that there is no such thing, its important to recognize that Ronald Reagan, as he often admitted, was anything but perfect.
One of the criticisms about former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney focuses on his record concerning the abortion issue. We are told by the modern day Diogenes clones that he cant be trusted to fight abortion because he once, more or less, supported a womans right to butcher her baby.
It may come as a surprise to these purists, but Ronald Reagan once supported abortion too. Yet nobody ever questioned his strong pro-life credentials after his conversion to Republicanism. They accepted his sincerity. Why cant they accept Mitt Romneys?
Romneys record shows he should be totally acceptable to all conservatives, yet because of one dubious question concerning the validity of his conversion to the pro-life side, he is deemed unsuitable to carry the conservative banner.
Won’t help him here...but then Romney isn’t running for President of Free Republic. ;)
James Carville: "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."
