CAPITOL HILL (AP) - House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers is pressuring the White House to comply with subpoenas of key presidential advisers in the ongoing probe of U.S. attorney firings.
Conyers makes his demands in a letter to White House counsel Fred Fielding. His move appears to be setting up a pre-Thanksgiving vote on the House floor on contempt of Congress citations against chief of staff Josh Bolten, former legal counsel Harriet Miers and former political adviser Karl Rove.
The contempt issue has remained alive during the current Senate confirmation hearings for Attorney General nominee Michael Mukasey (myoo-KAY'-zee). He hasn't ruled out prosecuting Miers and Bolten for contempt of Congress.
Another reason why Congress approval ratings are in the basement.
House Judiciary Committee chairman pushes subpoenas in U.S. attorney firings probe...
hope fred felding tells conyers to stfu and stuff the subpoenas where the sun does not shine!!!
A procedural move, but regardless I’m sick of this Dem Congress and their Political games.
“Another reason why Congress approval ratings are in the basement.”
Global warming, attacking Mukasey, obsessive focus on torture of terrorists, the firing of seven attorneys...The Dems sure got a finger on the pulse of America!!!

They refuse to acknowledge Executive Privilege.
Useless exercise by Conyers (He who attends communist meetings).
Its like the Big Lie about what Rush had to say. They ignore facts, including the the president can fire any US Attorney.
