Hillary looked as uncomfortable handling an unexpected question as Drew Bledsoe did facing a blitz.
As explained, the charge is more than 20 years old. If this becomes the criteria no candidate will be free of scandal.
These things are alwayss thrown at Republicans and ignored when it comes to Democrats. It’s a double standard and I refuse to be swayed by it.
It's always amused me how the jobs that are open are included in the job cut list.
Rather than just eliminating the openings, they have to make it "Chicken Little"..LOL [buttwipes all]
Is the Globe like our National Enquirer?
Not saying I agree with this or that it is true but IMHO that is where Powell is coming from and I suspect probably has his ear bent by his wife as to how he was set up as a patsy.
I realize that and I also realize that Powell hasn't come out to clear up this or previous reporting about him
Good point, I forgot about that.
Still, I don’t really compare many of those on the list to the Tories of the U.K...
If the hordes of illegal aliens I see daily in Wal-Mart, the grocery store or merely walking along our main road is any anecdotal proof, this number seems about right.
They're everywhere and confidently out in the open, not "hiding in the shadows". And here in North Carolina we're 1200 miles from the Mexican border...
My bet is fred will handle this and other slams well, he’s a pro at tv.But we shall see.
I also wonder how much grief he took from his wife who may herself feel that because of her husbands she has been made to look a fool.
Again as you say we do not know and probably never will know the whole truth and in some respects that maybe not a bad thing as it may prevent things happening in the future.
At the end of the day Powell IMHO is just worried about what the general public think of him and if that means hurting the President or the administration he feel justified to do so.
yep but it’s on today’s WaPo front page (coincidence?) - so he’ll be defending it
That bad huh?
Comparing the 1990 Census to the 2000 Census, the Mexican-born population of North Carolina went from 8,751 in 1990 to 179,236 in 2000 or more than 20 times in just ten years.
Yikes. Was it Timmy or Thompson you weren't pleased with?
Maybe so .. but he's been around long enough to know better .. plus he is a 4 star general and it doesn't speak well of him
Doesn’t North Carolina hand out driver’s licenses to illegal aliens?
Eliot Spitzer should take note.
A pity that Powell did not follow (fired by Truman) General MacArthur’s mauldlin words to Congress that “Old soldiers never die; they just FADE away.” Had Powell done so, he might have retained more admirers today.
The problem is expectations were raised before Fred entered the race and now poeple are not happy when he does not meet the bar they set. I’m not happy with his performance either but I’m not willing to throw in the towel yet.
well??
