IMHO Powell feels he was let down and made a fool on with the photos showing the sites of WMDs and therefore feels justified to say and do anything which in his mind clears his name and puts the blame on others.

Not saying I agree with this or that it is true but IMHO that is where Powell is coming from and I suspect probably has his ear bent by his wife as to how he was set up as a patsy.

Maybe so .. but he's been around long enough to know better .. plus he is a 4 star general and it doesn't speak well of him
