There were some atrocities by the Allies, a few by the Americans, a lot by the Soviets (to be fair, the Nazis murdered far more Soviet citizens and razed far more Soviet cities than American ones), but the numbers are not even close, and it was not government policy on the part of either the American or British governments to be brutal to either civilians or POWs.

To 'all:' thousands of 'ethnic German' refugees were allowed to starve, get diseases, etc. to death after the fall of Germany.

Something like 2 million German citizens died AFTER the end of WWII during the forced relocations back to a smaller Germany.

Earlier Germany had destroyed 60% of every standing structure East of their previous national boundaries, with the Soviet Union hit the hardest.

They even murdered millions of people in areas where they were welcomed as liberators!

Definitely the Nazis were not the kind of folks you'd want to welcome to a dinner party.

Sure it was. It was American and British policy to target civilian populations, in both Germany and Japan.
