Another endorsement for Hunter:

Handicapping the field: Republican Melvin R. Laird, the former Wisconsin congressman and President Nixon’s first defense secretary, said he has yet to endorse a presidential hopeful but admires House Republican Duncan Hunter of California, the former chairman of the Committee on Armed Services.

“.......... he’s the best qualified in terms of foreign policy and military security,” Laird observed.
