Ask anyone else on the forum who has been better known for raising the issue publicly. I think 95% will name Tancredo as the real leader on the issue.I'll take that bet.

He is privy to more info than you and it affects our infrastructure which he is privy to more than you. It falls under his domain for homeland security. I don't know, but I'd like to, what kind of security clearance it takes to be head of the Armed services Comm. I bet it's pretty high. I'm sure Hunter is privy to lots of information that the public never sees and he cannot disclose.

But no one else in the national security establishment is going after Romney like this. He's only a shareholder now, no matter what Duncan alleges.

Are you suggesting Duncan is violating classified information to make these charges against Romney?

Tancredo wasn’t even in Congress until late 90’s. In 1986, Duncan Hunter opposed Reagan and opposed that amnesty. He fought the Clinton administration for more border security and border patrol and won. He got the fence built in his district and reduced crime by 90 percent.
I don’t give a damn about public perceptions. A majority likely think Rudy is the best candidate to fight the WOT. Guess what, Hunter would be the best for that job as well. I want the best, not the perceived best.
I like Tancredo in small doses, but character and honor matter to me and I find Tanc lacking in that regard. I supported Tancredo, originally, but no more. He was one of those who beat people over the head with term limits. When time came for him to leave, he decided we needed him too much to leave.
Turns out term-limits was wrong when it came his time to vacate congress. When his status went 1-A, he became too mentally ill to serve. I think we remember what Patton thought about, “it’s my nerves, sir”, right? I know at least one soldier has refused to be on stage with him for that reason. He was too mentally ill to serve in Vietnam, but sane enough to serve in congress? Well scratch that, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. lol :)

I don’t know that. You don’t know that either.
No one would have even know about this press release if we didn’t post it. Anyone else carrying it? Only us bloggers.
So, I state again. You don’t know who is answering to what in reference to this 3Com and Bain issue.

I think few of us ever heard of Duncan Hunter before this year
A fair point...When Hunter lead the masterful Pub uprising against Murtha etc. a few years back on the floor of he House, American Conservatives- apparently- barely noticed. Now, his attempts to warn against the dangers of engaging in unfair trade and entangling foreign commerce with defense procurement are also nonstarters in a nation too sated to concern itself with anyone running for office other than candidates with celebrity status and/or presidential looks?.
There are no mysteries here. In a nation that routinely musters less than fifty percent of its eligible voters at the polls, why should we expect that more than a minority who understand history and care enough to think about the unpleasant consequences of military unpreparedness would give any thought to Hunter?
I will continue to support Hunter to the end of his candidacy. But, as I'm sure many will do, I will hope that the eventual Pub nominee is at least someone who will enable us to buy time before the nation is in extremis.

Hunter is not "grandstanding" at all, nor is this some desperation ploy, as you claim. Perhaps the most outrageous fact about Hillary is that she is a paid stooge of a Communist world power, our biggest rival for world power. Romney will never be able to exploit that issue, because he's part of that problem also. So it's a very valid attack by Hunter; the GOP shouldn't throw away a major issue by nominating another globalist jerk.
Also, this is not some issue Hunter has just started to "ride," as Romney does with all his current new-found positions. Hunter has been trying to draw attention to the threat from China for years.
