Luckily there is a star who's got the eggs to stand up to Venezuela's Communist-in-chief:
Cuban-born actress Maria Conchita Alonso, who grew up in Venezuela, said Penn's visit lends support to a "totalitarian" leader who wants increasing control of societya charge Chavez denies. Speaking by phone from her home in Beverly Hills, California, Alonso said she respects Penn as an actor, but hopes he "comes to his senses and he realizes that he's being used."Too bad they don't give Oscars for integrity.
Maria Conchita Alonso? I thought she was the newswoman in Married, With Children!
Sean Penn and Harry Belafonte - also Kevin Spacey - are useful idiots. They should listen to what this beautiful woman is saying.
NOT GUILTY!
It think it’s too late. See: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1920210/posts?page=1
Ugh, I am so sick of sound bite news. Seems they never have any decent length discussions unless they're about Britney. Meanwhile Chavez is nationalizing everything in sight and eliminating term limits.
Oh but socialism is so good for the common man. I want to move to the barrio in Caracas

and get free health care just like Cuba.
Now she's doing it again.
Damn, their relationship just ain't working out.
They call barrios “ranchos” in Caracas.
I knew her a bit a long time ago. She was a bundle of energy.
I have always felt sorry for Maria, as she once had to do a scene with a “nude” (if grizzly bears can be called nude) Robin Williams.
I think it was in Moscow on the Hudson.
Glad someone is saying something in Hollyweird.
“I think it was in Moscow on the Hudson.”
You’ve got a good memory...and you are right.
I got to admit that overall I liked the movie...and that the topless
scene was totally UN-necessary to that sort of film.
Otherwise, it was a nice, sweet “love-letter to America” in the style
of Frank Capra (IMHO)...lots of ups-and-downs while an immigrant
tries to find out how to live/thrive in a free country.
Long ago, I tired of Robin Williams...but that is one of his films
I can actually stand to watch.

As for Maria...I’d watch “The Running Man” for fun!!!
(and for that PRICELESS Richard Dawson appearance!)
Nice to hear that.
Still a major babe...
That's exactly what happened today as soon as she started to talk with passion...
Too bad.
Ever notice how the people who actually lived under/escaped communism or authoritarian socialism don’t ever seem to mirror what the lefties think about these places?
YOu’d think just ONCE the Penns of this world would listen to the people who fled these countries to come to a real land of freedom and opportunity. It’s like they don’t exist or in some cases, they hate them like they hate the Miami Cubans.
