That’s an excellent interview. It’s interesting that in the last FR poll, Duncan is the favorite candidate (by 13% over Fred) if the respondent isn’t worried about whether or not their candidate will win. I wish he could’ve gotten some traction...he seems to be a good man and the most clearly conservative candidate in the race.

HUNTER: Well, he said that may be a good idea. He was fairly noncommittal So we are to determine that if a good idea looks Duh-bya in the face, he is fairly noncommittal. Hunter's mistake is that he should have walked in there with Lindsey Graham, Ted Kennedy and Schmuckie Shoomah.
Right now...it looks like Hunter for President!

Darn, I missed it. I emailed Beck several weeks ago, telling him to look at Hunter - that he seems to be quite conservative and should like Hunter.

Hunter didn’t whine about what the President said and he didn’t insult the President, either. Good roll model, Duncan Hunter. You should try emulating him some time. Oh, and he told Glenn he thinks he’ll be able to get the thing done that he suggested to the President.

Guess what, my nephew wrote today that he likes Hunter! He just visited in October and I gave him a glossy and other info.
Then, the lady my husband met at the dog park e-mailed me today - she has info from a lawyer who worked with Hillary that she wants to share. Her son, too, a history professor likes Hunter.
The lady who helped me clean my closet today likes Hunter!
Glenn Beck!!! Only a few, but it's encouraging.

“BTW, Blackmun was appointed by Richard Nixon and incessantly described as “a strict constructionist.” “
Which is one of reasons I won’t vote for Frudy McRomneyson. They would screw it up just as bad as Nixon did. Lithmus test? Hell yes.

HUNTER: I just met with the President a few minutes ago and I dont know if you saw this, the headlines today, but the State Department is having trouble finding 45 State Department foreign officers out of 10,000 who will agree to go to Baghdad and they just had a town meeting with their leadership and said its dangerous; we dont want to go even if its the green zone. And so I sent a letter to the President. Ive sent a copy to you saying this, and I talked to the President about 30 minutes ago. I said, lets go over to Bethesda and Walter Reed and as we get these new these soldiers and Marines who are embarking on new careers, lets recruit them for the State Department and lets fire these guys that refuse to go and well give the State Department careers to these military guys. LOVE it.

That man has charisma locked up as far as Im concerned.
&&&
That’s because you — like me — appreciate the fact that he is serious about what he does. I love DH, but I have maintained all along that he needs to show a little twinkle in his eye like the Huckster to be more telegenic for the more superficial in the electorate. I remember reading, some number of years ago, an analysis of successful presidentian candidates that concluded that likeability was considered a key characteristic.
