John Rich, one half of the hit duo Big & Rich, is co-hosting a fundraiser and concert for Republican presidential hopeful Fred Thompson on Thursday Nov. 8. Tickets start at $100 to attend the concert, $500 for a reception with Sen. Thompson and $2,300 per person for a photo with the candidate.
John, who sits on Sen. Thompsons Tennessee fundraising committee, will provide the evenings musical entertainment. John also played at a fundraiser in August, before Sen. Thompson had officially declared his candidacy.
Although it's not clear whether the date of the fundraiser is intentional, Big & Rich had a hit in 2005 titled 8th of November, about a Vietnam veteran.

I got to see and hear Mr.Rich at the Cedar Falls, Iowa FRed Rally about a month ago...not a big “to do” or anything but he was very entertaining and definitely a FRED-HEAD!!!
I understand that the Senator is a big Johnny Cash fan.

Where: Greystone Golf Course, 2555 Hwy. 70 E., Dickson, TN
When: Nov. 8, with more specific details to be announced in The Herald on Friday.
Contact: Jody Barrett, 740-5700 for more details and information about donations.
Dickson, TN is about an hour out of Nashville, where we live. Greystone is a former limestone quarry, now a very hard golf course. Take two extra sleeves of balls.

That’s cool.
Have you noticed a definite improvement in the tone of the Fred articles in the last few days?

Maybe we should try pushing the theme that Fred will get trashed by Hillary so that the MSM will start trying to help him get the nomination. I’ve observed that they tend to pull for whoever looks like the easiest pickings for Hillary......
Hmmm maybe I shouldn’t have said that in a public forum.

All is unfolding as it should.
No Juggernaut, just a steady course dead ahead to the White House. The campaign that only Fred Thompson can run, and one he has run before.
The difference between Fred’s calm approach and the screeching of everyone else will win the day. Real Voters elect the person the feel safe with, that they can relate to and are familiar.
