It’s not the kids fault.
In a country where the phrase “for the children” is trotted out a million times a day, when someone actually does something that may REALLY help the children he is excoriated.
Personally, I think it’s going too far but given how far the OTHER way things currently are, maybe that’s whats needed?
That's actually a brilliant idea. Fact is, these kids do NOT know how to dance. It would also be an opportunity to introduce them to actual music.
Dads - this is all on YOU.
I heard a great idea on Christian radio.
You should take your daughter out on “dates” - just the two of you. Show her how a gentleman treats a young lady. For example, open doors (car doors even), etc. Teach her to simply wait for the man to open the doors for her by failing to do so once in a while and telling her how to respond.
You also have to teach about messages that go out (from her method of interaction, dress, etc), and messages that come in (who she is friends with, what she listens to, etc).
ping for more on the dancing story
The only thing upsetting to liberals about underage girls doing lap dances would be if homosexual boys weren't given equal fawning attention when they did it.
as annoying and irritating as i find the show “dancing with the stars,” and the movie ‘take the lead’ i’ve hoped that the popularity of them would teach girls that there are other styles of dance than bootie shaking, that are a heck of a lot more fun.
alas, most of the girls still learn how to dance from MTV.
Denton is a college town. UNT and TWU . . . old arthritic hippies and college professors are the “grown-ups” there. I wouldn’t expect the local girls to know how to dance without acting like twenty dollar, sticky floor hookers.
Editorials at the Denton Wretched Chronicle are written by the Dallas Morning News' puppet there, and reflect the DMN's principles, or rather the lack thereof.
One night I realized that everything I had told her, and how I had helped raise her to be independent and have respect for herself had sunk in. I got a call about 10:30 from her needing me to come pick her up. Evidentially, the young man she had been with wanted a little more than just a movie. She knocked two of his teeth loose and walked out of the theater. That's where I picked her up.
Says Carolyn Kern, a University of North Texas associate professor and director of the school's successful Counseling and Human Development Center.
Well, Gee Whiz, Ms. Kern. You don't suppose you should've asked that question a few years ago when you probably approved the "Fisting - 101" classes, do you? Get real. Your hind sight is worse than your foresight.

Really, I believe that a lot of the girls don’t know how to dance. I don’t, but that doesn’t mean they should be rubbing their bottoms up against a guys genitals. Sometimes two girls will do it, and judging by the acceptance of homosexuality, two guys probably do it too. (barf) However, it’s not entirely the kids’ fault. Their parents are ok with them dressing sleazy and dancing that way, the school is telling the kids it’s ok to sleep around (even providing the birth control), and the music and media pushes sex at every turn. Girls don’t realize that it is turning them into sexual objects. That’s what these guys see them as. I would love to see a change in our culture, a return to modesty and decency.
