Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, the Republican front-runner, leads New York Sen. Hillary Clinton by a razor-thin 45 - 43 percent, but voters say 58 - 37 percent that President George W. Bush's low approval ratings will make it difficult for any Republican to be elected President, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.
Giuliani's lead reverses a 46 - 43 percent Sen. Clinton lead in an August 15 poll by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University, but Giuliani was up 49 - 40 percent May 3.
Illinois Sen. Barack Obama gets 43 percent to Giuliani's 42 percent. And Arizona Sen. John McCain ties Clinton 44 - 44 percent, wiping out a 47 - 41 percent Clinton lead August 15.
Clinton also has seen her favorability among American voters drop from 48 - 43 percent August 15 to 46 - 46 percent today.
In other head-to-head matchups in the current survey: Clinton leads former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson 46 - 41 percent and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney 48 - 38 percent

SUPER RUDY!
SAVIOUR OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION!
(dripping sarcasm)
He also wins the war against socialism and cronyism.
Then there’s Biden’s comment that shows the depth of Guiliani
- ‘He talks in 3 word sentences - subject, verb and 9/11.’
Well said.
Rudy would wipe HilaryCare all over the stage in a debate to the point they would call it beating a girl. Course so would the rest of our candidates, she is aweful.
Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops
Hillary will have many more meltdowns before all is said and done. The more pressure she comes under to answer tough questions that require straignt answers.... the faster she’ll melt.
Perhaps his total lack of experience?
Perhaps the fact that he couldn't see terrorism when it stared him in the face (Empire State Bldg incident)
Rudy is good on crime, at the risk of liberty.
Crime does not equal War.
Gawd...looks like I’ll have to stick my finger down my throat next year at the polls.
Maybe but, as a Mayor. Sounds like you believe everything he spouts. You do know he'll say anything to get your vote?
C'mon dude, aren't the cottage cheese thighs enough to vote for Rudy?
“Hillary showed last night, she is just not all that good. All she has in her corner is a willing and able accomplice in the media. That is probably worth at least the 15% in the polls just as they admitted with Kerry in 2004.”
She also has very active Marxist groups like ACORN, Moveon and NARAL that will either cheat in Ohio or ensure that this election goes to the courts.
IMHO, Hillary will not get 45% of the vote. So I anticipate 3rd party.

Considering that he governed in one of the most liberal cities in the country, his record in NY was good. Read the Club for Growth’s summary of his economic record in NY; its pretty impressive. Also look at his foreign policy, economic policy, and legal policy advisors.
I think you might want to read this again or for the first time.
