Health clinics in six Denver high schools should be allowed to dispense birth control and emergency contraceptive pills, according to a new report by a health task force.
"This is a real controversial issue," said Paul Melinkovich, who directs Denver Health's school-based clinics. "But teenagers are sexually active, and teen pregnancy is one of the largest reasons for the dropout of girls from high schools." ......
The education hypocrites won’t dispense aspirin for fear of health issues yet they can dispense other drugs? Are the school boards going to be financially responsible for any of the side effects incurred because of these drugs or if any of them die?
Parents should shoulder this, it is time to get sex education/health care out of the public schools.
It’s about getting kids used to government-controlled health care from the nanny state, among other things.
The way I see it in California is that, under 264PC(unlawful intercourse - previously referred to as statutory rape; I hope this Section is the correct cite.), these school officials could and should be considered guilty of conspiracy to violate this, in that they have agreed with the students to violate and made the necessary overt act to further the violation. Don’t hold your breath. It’s sort of like Planned Parenthood conspiring to violate similar laws by failing to report sexual abuse, incest and other forms of unlawful intercourse. Any crime is okay if it furthers a “higher cause.” Hello Third Reich.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
They also think they are immune to the many life threatening and non-lifethreatening STDs. Birth control is no defense against these.
So are the schools going to assume the liability for the lawsuits .
